Honestly the ability to ban a card is so interesting, you can dodge midladder mega knight decks and on top ladder it makes the game more strategic. It looks like it would force players to have two competitive ladder decks instead of just one, but i'd much rather have that than lvl 15.

Fun fact:When the lootbox system was released in the Chinese version, they also "balanced" some cards which includes (All cards are on the same level): Magic Archer can't one shot spear goblins Single spirits and single wall breaker can't reach the princess's tower Not only that, they also change how leveling up a card work, normally when you upgrade a card,the stats of the card goes up by 10% and always 10% no matter what level you are going to upgrade it to. But when the Chinese server did the balancing, every card gets a 30% increase to their stats when you're upgrading your card from lvl11~15(still 10% from lvl1 to 10),which made a golem have more than 10k hit point at max. But the balancing no longer exists now since they removed it some while back

Something I'd like to add: the lootbox and alternate ladder and card banning only lasted a season, and they reverted back to the original state of CN server, which is basically a clone of international server but delayed by a month. Which means evolved cards got added recently 💀

Quick maths: 0.002% is 2 in 10000 or 1 in 5000 keys right. So that means, if one key is 42 cent (just checked) you have to spend essentially 2100$ *for the avg chance* to get a singular legendary levelled up a singular time. That is absolutely fucking insane.

0.0025 no 0.002 and thats the odds for maxing one specific legendary to lvl 14 you have to consider that there are many many more legendaries so odds are that many times higher that there are number of legendary cards

0.045% for getting 20 legendary cards that means if you open a chest you are going to have 0.9% for legendary card on averge + you definitly have options for getting 1 legendary 5 or 10 with higher odds so that increse it too. I wouldn't say the odds are great but they are definitly much better than spend 2100 for one upgrade of an card

Cuz it would make you able to ban cards that are mostly used on ladder or whatever you're playing and that card could be the counter to your deck...or cuz when you reach high numbers and you just see the same deck over and over again banning a card from that deck basically will make you not match with anyone

I play both Chinese and normal servers and the Chinese servers are crazy, the golems have around triple the health and high dmg cards like pekka have their dmg boosted to the point where they can one shot most cards, they also released like 8 variants of keys which I have no idea what they are used for. It’s very p2w because the whole ladder system is messed up and matchmaking pairs you with people that are nearly max, they all use crazily boosted cards like the pekka which is almost impossible to stop considering it’s stats and lvls.
