I’m definitely drawn to certain colors like teal/turquoise. I like to wear and decorate with that color. I recently heard that wearing black makes us look older. I wear black almost everyday for work. Lol!

Oh I do love teal as well!

I’m a cool winter and I love most of those colours for me but for decorating I enjoy a mix of summer and autumn shades. Autumn colours are essential for making things cosy and inviting 😊

Even before I heard of color analysis there were colors I loved and felt confident in and colors I loved but never felt confident in. I would always wear those second types of colors around the house because they made me happy but I didn’t need the extra boost of confidence in that moment. Love differentiating the choice of clothing color by your skin tone versus your mood.

My wardrobe is summer (I’m a cool soft light) and my decor is a soft autumn vibe! 💕

That’s so interesting! I love the cozy vibe of autumn colours too though so I kind of relate 🍂🙏🏼

I am a winter (with warm/neutral olive skin and green hazel eyes), and I definitely dress myself within that palette. However, in my home I use warm autumnal caramels and browns a lot. Turquoise and teal are my favourite colours, which weirdly I don't wear a whole lot, but I do have them in my home decor 🤷♀

I got a deep autumn as my palette that suits me best but I also love some tones in summer and winter too depending on what colour we are taking about. Lately because I am autumn I am discovering that brown is very flattering on me and this is such a revelation as I didn't own any before this season. I love a good green and also a good purple but right now it's looking for the right tone now since lavender is not it for me.

My first to Norway was during summer in 2006 and my second during winter 2010 and it true what you say about nature inspiring one's colour choices and which colours one is drawn to. I suddenly understood why I found it so diffult to find clothes in the colours which suits me and which I love in my own country. Geography and my ancestral genes. 😂 I love most of the colours which you love (only chocolate brown) plus greys land teal.

I’ve never really worn colours but recently have got colours for my new wardrobe which I’ve built over the last year. I’ve got pastel colours in said wardrobe and a fiery red/orange and military green. But my most worn outfit consists of mid grey, pastel blue, black, white. I used to like yellow but recently have been loving the idea of pastel tones with browns. I think I’m going through my pastel colour phase. 😅

I am a soft autumn which has made me finally realize why most colours just don't suit me. I was never a pastel person, but I found some amazing colours for myself on the soft spectrum. And although we're different seasons, funnily enough our favourite and least favourite colours are almost the same 😊 thank you for your amazing videos Signe, they have helped me a great deal and I constantly get a ton of style inspiration from you 🥰

Interesting video which has given me pause to reflect on my own wardrobe and preferences. I’ve spent the last few years trying to fit into colour analysis etc but long before that, colour psychology was my go-to approach. It’s nice to have a reminder to keep what worked in the past to establish my chosen vibes is still valuable alongside consideration of what suits my colouring. I like a LOT of colours but not pale beige for clothes, which makes me look seriously ill. I’m just not sure which way round it works: it doesn’t suit my personality/looks because it doesn’t reflect the vibes I want to communicate, or I don’t like it because it doesn’t suit me.

Really interesting. I’m a Summer in both contexts, closely followed by Winter. I also live near the sea and love all the watery blues and blue greens.

Very helpful video for me as I have recently been analyzed as a blue spring by House of Colour, and I am attempting to figure out a capsule wardrobe with only a handful of colors. I am going to start with the colors in my fan that I am NOT drawn to and to eliminate those.

I love colour, on me and in my house. I try not to use/ buy black but i cannot avoid it due to its versatility. Also not everything is offered in other than black 😕

Very thought-provoking, Signe, thanks. One aspect of color I could use help with is with a flattering and quality substitute for your basic white dress/Oxford shirt (to wear under a blazer, underneath sweaters/jumpers, etc.). I haven't even been able to find an ecru or similar color of that item to purchase. Can you share your thoughts/other ideas I may be missing on this and/or provide recommendations for Europe (or even the UK)? Thanks again, Signe! I very much enjoy your videos on fashion as well as on Danish culture. 🍂❤

Would changing hair color change the colors thT suit a person.
@UseLess_dk9 сағат бұрын
Sometimes! Depends on how big of a difference it is 😊 I think it’s important to ask yourself after a hair colour change though how you experience it, some people experience it almost automatically that “wow, the colours I used to wear look so different on me now”. 💁🏼♀️

I am an artist and in art as well as fashion, interior design, etc. I've always found the colour "theory" to be mainly a lot of rubbish to be honest, forced, based on traditions that few people question, and something for "sheep" to follow (with no disrespect to real sheep, who are actually more intelligent animals than people give them credit for). My only tips are: blue and denim suit everyone, and don't wear the whole rainbow, 3 colours max. I do like slightly unexpected colour combinations that some fashion designers show on the catwalk, e.g. Prada/Miu Miu and I am careful not to wear colours like pale yellow and beige that don't suit my skin colour. The rest comes intuitively to me and it surprises me that other people need guidance in this. I am always surprised that so many blondes don't realise that beige and camel don't actually suit their colouring - all those light beige trench coats actually wash you out, a darker shade of brown or navy would be a better choice. Burgundy - I hate it, it has sexual and butcher shop overtones to me, a vulgar colour that reminds me of liver and other offal, yuk!
@UseLess_dk9 сағат бұрын
I think it’s very valid and fair that people like having tools at hand to help them choose colours, not everyone has the same artistic approach to style and colour choices and it can be super hard to figure out where to even start - some people prefer something a little more tangible, something that provides a little bit of logic which I definitely think colour theory can. No matter what version of colour theory this is - that’s not to say you ever have to follow any of these guidelines religiously though. You have to find what works for you 😊🙏🏼 colour analysis definitely has made a huge, positive difference for me and my personal style. And colour psychology and colour perception has too
@andreiadetavora84716 сағат бұрын
See... we differ in our opinions, with no disrespect to you. I'm an artist too, and i find it quite balancing if you use colour harmony in paitings and general visual art (painting should be bathed in the same light, at least to have some degree of harmony). Also, as a clinical psychologist (I have two degrees), the topic presented should be more recognized - specially with the 4 seasons system (which is limited)-, hence the topic presented in this video can actually give some insight into the person spectre of emotions and state of being. So... Saying that people are like "sheep" is quite rude, don't you think? Colour theory has a place, that's why it is a studied subject in art. Disrespecting years, centuries (!) of a classical approach to art is like trying to be different, without any base or sane structure. Oh and Burgundy, for me is correlated to a good classic wine: like Porto. What we see in things are usually our own experience of them ;) .
