When my family took a trip to NY back in 2003 we were driving on the freeway from the Bronx into Manhattan and this song came on in the radio. Bliss. Always loved Billy Joel, the earliest memories of my life was laying on the carpet floor in my living room playing my moms cassette tapes of Billy Joel.

My wife and I lived briefly in California. When we returned to New York, this is the first song I requested. There's something magic about NY. Washington Irving was the first artist to try to capture the magic. No artist has been able to to do so completely, but Billy Joel came close. I love New York!

I'm a Texas girl who spent a week in NYC and never felt more at home there, getting lost under the skyscrapers and bright lights. This is my absolute favorite song, and it just breaks my heart. That piano...Jesus. I miss NYC so much. Much love!

I remember taking my wife and kids to the Catskill game farm back in the 80s. We had a gret time. Camped in the Catskills. This song always brings me back to that happy time. Life is beautiful but short. Make the best of every day.

I've been to New York City....Love this song.....but I made fool of myself.....I was looking at all the buildings......tripped on the sidewalk while I was looking up....feel flat on my face....OH WELL....no one cared. Loved the shows....loved the whole place can't wait go back........Can't say enough of how good the broadway show were....and the shopping.....loved it.

This is my favourite Billy Joel song by a long shot, hell it's one of my alltime favourites. There is an honesty and a clarity that comes through in his voice, Joel has an absolutely flawless voice, without even a hint of distortion. Very few singers have that. Freddie Mercury had it, Paul McCartney has it (though I'm not sure if he still does), Steve Windwood, Peter Cetera, and Billy Joel.
