The dubbing of random video game songs from Nintendo franchises that exist mostly in fan groups and survive almost solely off of that with lyrics from a language created by the internet with the sole purpose of having as few words as possible (only about as many as pokemon in generation 1) is absolutely the most niche thing ever and not something I had realised I needed in my life before I first saw them.

0:44 I will defend that decision. They put all the "Love"s on the beat, which I think sounds better than putting the last one off beat. Of course, it may just be what I expect, since the Italian "Ti amo" and the French "Je t'aime" works nicely with the original beat. But I think keeping it unsyncopated works best for the words they chose.

I love your toki pona song translations and the commentary that comes with them, and this one is no exception! I have just one nitpick though: "mi ken ala weka e pilin mi" works just fine without the _ala_ imho. The singer says she "can't hold it back anymore" i.e. she's stopped hiding her feelings and let it all out. And to me, "weka e pilin" sounds like an appropriate translation for that. So doesn't adding that _ala_ there make this translation mean the opposite? I suppose (heh) substituting _poki_ (as in "to contain or cage") for _weka_ would work better here, both for the meaning and for retaining the amount of syllables. Again, this is just my opinion! Aside from this, excellent translation ^.^
