use (x+y)² = 2xy + √[(x⁴+y⁴) + 2x²y²)] We will get xy = 29 , -21 Now solve x+y =2 , xy =29 we will find that x is not a real number. Now solve x+y =2 , xy = -21 we will get x = 1+ √22 or 1-√22 And y = 1- √22 or 1+ √22
