@@andreakach585 Thanks,I met her once when she came for rebranding Nigeria at Lagos state, I was booked to get her braids done, but on getting to her at Sheraton hotel? She said she couldn’t do more than 2 hours. So I said to her that befitting her status, that I couldn’t possibly do anything under 2 hours that would stand out, I had to cancel but she was very soft spoken and her personality was cool, calm and collected.

Love the colours, the vibrancy, the music, and the intermingling of people from two different cultures. The world needs more of this!

Her mum was a force to reckon with in Nigeria. Reshaped our own FDA (health authority, NAFDAC). A good name is precious.

So painful how her (Bride) dad was brutally murdered. Still a scene that can't leave my head.

I didn’t know until they introduced themselves towards the end. I am personally offended by the way the Akunyilis were treated. Prof Dora Akunyili was my crush in her NAFDAC days. The best female president Nigeria never had. I reference her most times she comes to my mind. The negative side of our emotions can be very destructive and should never be excused. Cutting off the head is never a solution for headaches. I say this to all my Nigerian people everywhere. We’re a very emotional country, separately and collectively.

Wedding was in ONITSHA or ENUGU, Eastern Nigerian cuties. The head wrap is called GELE by the Youruba tribe but Igbos call it ICHAFU!!!

As a born and bred Canadian I can confirm that, with all due respect to your country of origin, once you move here - and prove that you're not a total dickhead - YOU are now a Canadian and all of your traditions are now a small part of "Canadian Traditions"! (And we Canadians end up all the better for it 😊)
