Richard--The West;port Library event gave the assembled and worldwide KZbin audience an impressive and informative inside look at the importance of supporting exploration and explorers, and the vital role played by The Explorers Club in advancing exploration in all parts of the Planet and in space. There is still so much to still learn from our new and established explorers and you have put the spotlight on it. Well done….

Does this host hear himself? It felt like I was just listening to him say his opinions of the speakers rather than hearing from the speakers themselves. Nina had a whole presentation ready that everyone wanted to hear, and then he just went on and on and said thanks for coming while she was still on her title slide! Good on her for continuing to present after he dismissed her! And he shared details about her family, the other woman's story of domestic violence... intimate things that were irrelevant to these peoples' incredible successes and inappropriate to broadcast to everyone in the audience. Why invite speakers if you're just going to tell their stories for them? Painful to watch.

Dear Nina, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the event. I appreciate your candid feedback and take your points to heart. We were indeed running late, and to manage the time, I was instructed to wrap up Dr. Nina Lanza's segment-who, as it happens, is my first cousin. I intended to share family details to provide personal context, but I understand that this may have been distracting from the main content. Regarding Lhapka Sherpa, her experiences, including the domestic abuse she faced, are central to her story and her recent Netflix film, Mountain Queen, which I highly recommend. However, I realize now that the balance between sharing insights and allowing the speakers to present their narratives is delicate, and I will strive to improve in future events. Thank you again for your constructive criticism. Feedback like yours helps me grow as a host, and I will work on refining my approach moving forward. With kind regards, Richard
