My personal favorite is "New Nightmare" of the sequels, but "Dream Warriors" is a whole lotta fun. Though the one I'd love to see them react most to is the fourth one, "The Dream Master", just for what their reactions would be to the "Roach Motel" sequence.

Tina an Glenn death scenes were filmed with a rotating room, they nailed everything down an stepped Ron in while Tina crawled around an then with Glenn room they lost control of the spinning an the blood started to spill out an they still had the camera set up so they got that cool effect of the 🩸draining out making it kinda look like a vibration off water top

Cool thing about both Tina & Glender’s scenes - Production built a room they could spin on an axis. That’s how Tina can seemingly crawl up the walls & ceiling, and how a fountain of blood shoots out of Glen’s bed. A bit of a technical issue occurred when shooting the blood fountain, causing the room to lean at a slight angle & all the blood pooling in one corner. You kinda see this happen in the movie too.

I'm so glad video games haven't spoiled this classic. They did the wall trick with spandex 20:02 Skeet Ulrich who played Billy Loomis in Scream reminded Wes Craven of a young Johnny Depp and that's why he brought the scene w the boyfriend coming in the window back to the Scream franchise. I believe all the comments about the room tricks were answered down below. 12:50 Guy with the head of hair(Dream Doctor) is also the voice of Roger Rabbit 35:56 😂 Welcome to the world of Freddy - he's a bonafide creep 38:13 - 38:20 - Legendary indeed💥And so was the Glender! I hope you watch the others. They can get kind of campy, but are good. Yes, part 3 with David Arquette's (Dewey from Scream) real life sister Patricia as the lead is the best one. 51:25 Wes Craven was not the first to kill off the first girl. Alfred Hitchcock was the first to do it in Psycho with Jamie Lee Curtis's mother Janet Lee. 52:05 Yep, what makes the old ones great is that you can watch them multiple times. You guys are great, thanks for the great reaction!

Freddy is my favorite slasher. I was about 8 when this came out so he was so scary to me. Johnny's death scene was iconic back then when it came out. It was his first role and he was cast because Wes asked his daughter which actor he should cast that auditioned for Glen and she saw JD and she said him he's beautiful. She was right!

Happy Halloween! Couple things I wanted to say. The Nightmare On Elm Street stuff from Dead by Daylight are based on the 2010 remake, not the original series. Also the scene in Scream where the guy is dressed up as Freddy is actually Wes Craven himself, and his characters name in that was Fred.
@audiolove19764 күн бұрын
The "fake out" final girl trope actually began with Janet Leigh, of the classic shower scene from Psycho. Wes Craven drew on that for Amanda Wyss' character Tina in this film, then again with Drew Barrymore in Scream. Friday the 13th did the same thing four years before this when the character "Annie" is offed within the first 15 minutes of the film.
@trinitybernhardt99444 күн бұрын
I was gonna come to credit Hitchcock for the opening twist too. Glad someone beat me to it. If I am correct, I think it was actually Drew who suggested she be the opening girl in Scream because she was so big it would not be expected to be done again with her. I could be wrong, but I remember that.

Trivia: A Nightmare on Elm Street was inspired by a real-life event that occurred to young, healthy men in Southeast Asia who suffered from Sudden Unexplained Nocturnal Death Syndrome (SUNDS). Notably, my Hmong community was among the most affected groups documented in this case. Upon reading an article about the subject, Wes Craven seized upon the idea and incorporated it into his film, drawing from his childhood fear of a drunken man wearing a fedora. EDIT: 17:59 Who is the shadow lurking behind Matthew?
