I'm glad NOES 2 is getting some love, I remember people HATED it back in the day (I'm sure a lot of that was the homoerotic esthetic) but I always preferred it over the original, which I also love.

Dream Master is ABSOLUTELY better than Dream Warriors. It's always been my favorite of the franchise.

I'm not a Freddy guy, but here's my ranking: 9. Freddy's Dead 8. Nightmare 4 7. Nightmare 5 (better story than 4) 6. Nightmare 2 (I like all of the movies from here on up) 5. New Nightmare 4. ANOES remake (yes, I know it's high) 3. Dream Warriors 2. ANOES (Dream Warriors and this are pretty much tied) 1. Freddy vs. Jason (my first full horror movie - I love it - Ken Sledge interviewed me about it ;)

9. Freddy's Dead - Way too hokey & even Freddy looks terrible & non menacing in it. I do like the ear kill scene in it though & a few other scenes in it which is why it's not a 1/10. 3/10 8. 2010 Remake - It's not too bad. I don't think it's anywhere as bad as people say it is but it's still near the bottom of my list. 6/10 7. Elm Street 5 - Solid film but a step below the others ahead of it. 7/10 6. New Nightmare - Very well made but it's never been my favorite. I think the run time brings it down a little for me since I prefer around a 90 minute movie for a Freddy movie. 7.5/10 5. Elm Street 2 - I like that it's very different. I like the characters in the film & I agree with you that Freddy is at his most menacing in this one. 8/10 4. Freddy vs. Jason - Really fun movie. Some of it is a bit corny but I still always have fun watching this one. I wish Kane Hodder was Jason in it but Ken Kirzinger was fine. I also agree with you that Freddy should've had more kills in it. 8/10 3. Elm Street 1984 - Great movie but it's not my favorite anymore. It just doesn't have as much of a fun movie watch factor to it like the 2 other films that I have ahead of this one. 9/10 2. Elm Street 4 - This one was always at least in my top 3 & was my favorite as a kid. I think parts 3 & 4 were when Freddy was at his peak in terms of popularity in the mainstream. I guess my only issue with it is that I feel they didn't even try to make Freddy scary anymore. 9/10 1. Elm Street 3 - The perfect Elm Street film. Great script, great characters & Freddy was both really funny but still a bit creepy in this one. 10/10

This isn't about the ranking, that's all subjective (I only dislike 1 of these films. Take a shot in the dark, you'll probably guess which one.) but I have to say, I've never once had an issue with Freddy playing up the humor. If he's being serious, or funny, I'm happy. It's a debate I've never really understood personally.

I'm not going to tell you you're wrong because I can't decide in which order I like Elm Street One of my oldest memories is my 2 year old self waddling into the living room sitting on the couch with my father and seeing the scene where Freddy is killing Tina and she pulls his face off I said to my father "Daddy why does the bad man have pizza on his face" Just curious do you watch them in the order that you like them or do you watch them in chronological order

Just saw your ranking for halloween and nightmare series. Im SO glad, you appreciate H5. I have a ton of love for H5 and think the final act is some of the best halloween. Everyone hates on the mask but I will take the mask from H5 over the mask for H4 anyday. However, I dont share your love for H6. That movie is at the bottom of my ranking. I hated this movie and what they did to the jamie character. D.Harris is the best addition to H4 & H5 and by recasting her was a super huge mistake. Great rankings! I really enjoy these videos throughout youtube. Its cool to see how everyones rankings are different

This my favorite franchise here my list Here's my ranking for The nightmare on franchise. 9 Freddy dead the final nightmare we can all agree it was a horrible 8 2010 nightmare on elm I didn't like the direction they were going for it felt wrong.7 nightmare on elm Street the dream child I didn't like the special effects The kills were pretty dumb other than the Dan kill on the motorcycle. And I didn't like the storyline either.6 I would have to put Freddy vs Jason I enjoy this movie I saw it opening weekend when came out. The problem I have with this one Freddy doesn't do a whole lot of killing it was mostly Jason. 5 Wes craven's New nightmare it was a well-put-together storyline but it dragged on and we didn't see Freddy Krueger over hour into and there was only two kills in the movie 4 nightmare on elm Street part 2 Freddy's revenge. I think it's underrated movie. 3 nightmare on elm Street dream master I like this movie I love the final girl Alison she's right up there with Nancy. 2 I would have to say to your surprise the original nightmare on elm Street I have nostalgia for cuz it was the first horror movie I've ever seen as kid. 1 nightmare on elm Street dream warriors I love love Freddy I think this is my favorite Freddy. Freddy was scary he was funny I loved his one-liners and I love the cast in the movie in my eyes it was the perfect nightmare on elm Street movie.

nice ranking mine is 9 new nightmare sorry I dont like it 8 nightmare on elm street 2010 almost the worst but its more enertaning than new nightmare 7 Freddys dead watchable but still kinda bad 6 Dream child this is a guilty pleasure for me 5 Freddy vs jason good film but can be boring 4 Freddys revenge very good but too weird 3 Nightmare on elm street great but not my favorite 2 Dream warriors Awesome but not number 1 1 Dream master Always been my fave
