You are really great at what you do and the tips you give are very true. My worst enemy in PvP is my fear to lose, which triggers my adrenaline to overpower my thinking and it ruins fights for me. I know what to do in fights, but when my adrenaline kicks in, it's like a smokebomb in my head. My main in vanilla was a rogue but my second 60 was a druid that I played with Heart of the wild spec. I absolutely loved that hybrid playstyle. So flexible and versatile. I actually ended up playing him as balance though to be a special snowflake. Stack spellpower cloth and hide in the bushes critting with starfire for 4k lol. When you got the new ranks for spells in AQ I think it was, starfire hit like a truck.

God yes. I stopped doing PvP altogether when WSG became a coward's game of turtling for ties under a time limit. But back in the day? Druid. And I hated when they wanted to lock me into 'healer' and 'dps' boxes... I don't care that I wasn't viable in raiding, I was a master at PvP - I was fast, I could heal, I could tank, I could stealth. I could do everything, and while maybe I wasn't a 'master' in any particular category, it meant I was versatile and therefore viable in any situation. Very few classes were equally viable running the flag as they were supporting the flag, let alone defending it or holding the middle field. I could shift gears mid battleground as the situation called. I had a plan B for every contingency. As soon as they ripped our talent trees freedom from us? If I was feral, I couldn't heal myself out of a paper bag, let alone anyone else. I can't exactly heal the enemy to death and support was never my thing. I felt useless, all of a sudden, being locked into one role at a time. So... I quit.

Druid is one of my favourite classes in all expansions. I wish the love for their hybrid nature had stuck around a bit more prominently as far as gear goes. In my experience druids is one of the most forgiving classes to pvp in good dungeon gear and is also one of the hardest classes to master as you always have a long list of possible responses to any situation. I cannot recommend getting some good stance dance/shapeshift keybinds and macros no matter what build you are playing. Cutting a few milliseconds of reaction time on everything you do will let you do the really tough battles with multiple targets. Make a roots and hibernate on mouseover macro. Make a shapeshift bear - feral charge macro. Druids are one of the most important classes to use macros on.

Cool content Powerfulnoun. I played a druid in OG Vanilla, and haven't touched the game since BC released. I just found out that Vanilla servers existed in 2018, and you're content is great helping me remember everything I have forgotten in the last decade+. I fully agree druids are great!

"Winning is the goal no matter how much you have to cheese." This is probably the most important bit of the video to me. Too many people put restrictions on themselves by thinking it's dishonorable or cheesy or whatever to drink pots, etc in PvP. But that's why they're the dead one, and I'm still alive :p

Great video man!!! I play Feral as well (Deep Feral at the moment). In Battlegrounds I have had great success power-shifting with [Wolfshead Helm] for serious damage. Completely worth the stat loss from my experience.

Macro for Power-Shift needs stop attack so you don't reset your weapon timer by attacking with main hand. They melt.

About the deep resto spec: not exactly sure what you meant with it but play 8/12/31 if you want to play with more flexibility and survivability. With bear charge and reduced shapeshifting, trinket/engi/fc items swaps and combat pots no1 is gonna stop ya.

I realize this may very well be a necro but so be it. Once Classic hits p5 the 0.5 tier sets will be out which is Feralheart for druids. With HotW spec that means a huge boost to all stats. Its on par with the rare pvp set (Blood Guard bp is better than FH if going feral). But Feralheart also adds some mp5 and spell dmg/healing. The 6 set pc bonus is all kinds of good in pvp where you WILL be hit. The added spell dmg will heal with healing.

Good video. Check out a Korean Druid who goes by Druid of the Claw. He shows the full potential of Druids in world pvp with rank 13 gear. Personally, I wouldn't take the combo point talent unless I had close to 30% crit. Imp shred is worth more. Also, 1 STR = 2.32 AP in your 1/29/21 build, not 2.2.

Hello powerfulnoun, just came across your videos and subscribed. Plan on rolling a druid when classic comes out since it has the combined stuff of my main (Priest) and my alt (Rogue) during the BC expansion. Figured this would be a good fit for both worlds. Anyway, seems like your down to earth and very informative in your vids. Have tons of questions on the druid. One thing I noticed in your druid pvp videos you don't have on thorns. During the earlier days of nostalrius thorns generated threat. If you see clips of me in the world pvping without thorns on it wqs so if i aggrod a mob it wouldnt follow me forever. If you see me in dungeons without thorns on it was due to forgetting to rebuff or simply pure laziness xd. It doesnt contribute even 1% to overall damage so id just be too lazy to bother at times. If youre trying to min/max youd def want to keep it up forever.

Depends what version of vanilla you are talking about. The druid changed a lot over the course of vanilla especially the feral tree. I played a feral/resto druid right through vanilla and it was pretty hard until 1.8 hit and that made a huge difference.

Druid doesn't really get strong enough to be COMPETITIVE in pvp until around level 40, until then you're just depending on ravage crits but the strength of stealth is picking your fights. If you want my honest opinion pick fights and see what works and what doesn't, that's the best way to learn.

I’m used to playing rogue, war, and hunter mainly on live but I really wanted to try something new in classic pvp. Will feral/resto still be able to deliver killing blows on enemy’s? Idc about raiding at all I just want to be viable in pvp combat(not just flag runner)

I did all of my pvp as the hotw feral/resto spec hyrbid and I could easily beat people 1v1 and with useful cds/items 1vX, all depends on your skill level.

hotw spends enough points in resto to get nature's swiftness so you can also use the build for raid healing and be a lot stronger in pvp

great vid man, play a deep feral druid myself on nost pvp realm and really want to try out heart of wild spec. Only my guild raids allot and don't know what they would think of HOW spec. But I mostly pvp anyways. at a good point to go for it since I'm not even at BiS gear yet. You can, but you probably need to stack your bags with mana potions.

You can't use grenades in form, they'll automatically shift you out. Everything else works 100% in forms and grenades are still incredibly useful especially if you aren't tauren.

I normally level as feral putting 5 points into furor in the resto tree around level 25 or 30, then continuing onward, but basic deep feral works just fine, thanks for watching man I really appreciate it!

Im going to try 25/0/26. Natures grace/moonglow/natures swiftness/gift of nature. Im going to use furor for stuns and stuff. Spec into healing touch to get mana efficient heals. Ill have 11% off between moonglow and one point in tranquil spirit. Idk. I just look at it nd its nice.

I used a model editor which there's a guide for on my channel, blizzard has never banned for model edits in the past but still be very careful with it if you attempt to change models on classic.

@@rionasa I haven't tried it on official, I haven't played for several months but I model edited on live way back when during tbc and wotlk, blizzard stance on it as long as it isn't an edit that gives you an unfair advantage they don't ban for it. A lot of streamers use what's called a morpher on classic to change their model temporarily and it seems to be alright.
