You are always so supportive of sketchers/artists and provide so many wonderful simple and loose methods of illustrating everyday life, journeys, and places, along with ways to avoid judging ourselves, and to relax and enjoy the process. Thank you so much, Koosje!

Erg leuk weer. En dat alfabet is briljant, ga ik onthouden voor ons volgende trip.

I enjoyed the sketchbook tour. I just made an accordion book recently. Yes Swiss German is challenging! During the 5 years we lived in Germany, we would vacation in the Lauterbrunnen area every Feb.

Interesting idea regarding carrying a sketch book just for a particular trip. I still would carry my A-5 wherever I go in that I use it as a diary of sorts. Instead of writing what I am doing or going I sketch what I am doing or going and kept it all in chronological order. I do like your work no matter what sketch book you use.

Yes, that's how I use my sketchbook as well. Isn't it a great way of documenting big and small moments? But as I wanted to have a lighter load on the days of hiking, this "side-project" was perfect.

I didn’t know Dutch “English” included the word schlep, it made me laugh, bc it’s slang here. ❤the sketchbook!

I learned my English through speaking with many people whose first language is American English so yes, slang will be included as well! (also, fun fact, the Dutch word "sleep", is very close to the word "schlep" - and we have a lot of Yiddish words just like you)

Hi, I was wondering from where you get your Quick Sticks and Seawhite Watercolour A5 journals? Do you have any links to suppliers in the UK? Do you give workshops in the Netherlands? Just finished your book-which has taken my breath away. Congratulations. Stay safe always…

The QuickStix, I picked up at the kid's section in some store years ago. But you'll find them (and/or different brands but similar) online if you look for "gouache sticks" or "tempera sticks" Seawhite of Brighton sketchbooks I buy in an art supply shop in the Netherlands. It is a brand from the UK so I would imagine you should be able to find suppliers in the UK. And online. I do teach workshops in the Netherlands now and then. None are scheduled currently. And thank you for buying my book. I'm happy you like it so much!
