I had some PMP training a decade ago. At my current company they were doing projects... ad hoc is the best way to describe it. I eventually said in a meeting "There are documented processes for project management and we are following none of them. I've had some PMP training... let me take this on." Management did. In the last 2 months, I've had 6 successful office computer refresh deployments. The CEO has said to me "Where have you been all my life?" I'm now being rightfully pushed to do more. I'm glad I cam upon your channel. I've been enraptured in your project management advice. Thank you.

What if your most sensitive to others emotions can that interfere with picking up on emotional cues from others? I want to be able to distinguish what I may be perceiving to what my teammates are truly displaying and not assume.

Good question and a real issue for those who are empathic. You need to practice detachment. The best way to do this is meditation. Check out my videos on mindfulness.

Emotional intelligence (EQ) equals Self-Awareness, which many people don't have. EQ is another way to make things more complicated, just keep it simple.
