Very clean setup. I am almost done with my setup still waiting for a few items (mainly a new monitor)

Thanks! The monitor also took me the longest - but it’s the central piece so definitely take your time on that decision 🥳

Hello Florian! What a great video - Nice work mate! Really interested that you went with the manual standing desk. I'm Australian based - The reality is, that most stand-up desks here are sold with motors. Definitely food for thought re: longetivity. Your setup is really clean. I like it! Take care and good luck with your youtube channel! Looking forward to what you have to come. See ya!

Thanks Benjamin! It’s really interesting to me that the desks would be sold with the monitors - almost any desk should be able to outlive a monitor, I imagine! Is the monitor replaceable in your case?

@@FlorianBodlee : Good Morning mate! Opps, I think you've misread a word there. My comment was that the standing desks are sold not with monitors but with motors (that is electric single or dual motors) with an electronic switch. All good my friend! One question I do have. did you think of going dual monitors (screens) with your setup compared to just having the one 32" monitor? Take care.

Haha whoops - I indeed misread that 😂 Yes, I thought about going Dual monitor and might do that again in the future. For now, the change from dual 1440p screens to 4K at minimum scaling (so the most space possible) gave me enough space for almost all applications on one screen. For the occasional hardcore-coding session, I just add a 24“ screen on demand on my desk and then remove it again after. I’ll keep my videos updated if I ever decide to go back to dual monitors 👌🏼

@@FlorianBodlee : All good buddy! :-) I've been working with two 27" monitors and a laptop for many years now. However, I've finished my uni studies for the moment so the laptop screen is no longer required. Plus by having the laptop to the side (and shut) - would make a much more minimal desk. My desk is way tooooooo messy. Which is one of the predominant reasons I came across your video - I've been searching "Optimal desk setups!" hahaha. Good stuff re: the coding! Makes sense. The research will continue for me. Trying to decide to get, as your setup one large monitor to stick with the two monitors. Take care and again, good luck with your youtube channel! Keep up the great work!

Topstar chair is great...unless you are 5"4 :( sadly could not get the head rest to align properly! Lovely setup btw ps agree with comment on standing desk but i went machine in the end- simply fiddling between certain heights etc just really nice to do it rapidly with in-built saved functions!

That’s a great point! I’m 6” and had the exact same issue - wasn’t able to get the headrest aligned with basically all other chairs but this one 🤷🏻♂️ I feel like with desk chairs it’s a lot of trail and error! I was also worried the fiddling might bother me but at least to me it turned out fine in the end ☺️

I had this chair for about 5 years. I'm rather tall (192cm) - the narrow support for the shoulders/back is not the best. My back support is not optimal - I used additional lumbar support. I would not consider this chair "ergonomic. It does not fix your back in the correct position. The chair is in Ukraine, I am in Spain now due to war conflict - will be looking for something better.

the quality on the joints of the fabric is having threads out of it from the first day. Seems that during manufacturing they did not add enough fabric for the place where the thread joins two parts. I guess this is what you should expect for 300 euro
