Its been more than a year and I'm still using the Asus Zenfone 6 (the first gen flip camera phone by Asus) and I gotta say I accidentally dropped my phone a lot of times and even had it in my pocket in a thunderstorm rainy condition and the flip camera mechanism still works perfectly fine. Being a photographer it is really very practical to just swivel the camera at any desired angle to take a complex shot from the angles that are difficult or maybe even sometimes impossible to reach with non flip camera phone. I was scared before I bought Zenfone 6 that I might end up breaking the flip camera mechanism but it turned out to be the best mobile/camera investment I've made in my life. Also the ultra wide selfies or even ultra wide front camera videos for vlogging that is not possible through other devices. My phone is a bigger and better flex even in front of iPhone 12 and other expensive devices. It's not just something that I can flex around but something that is too much practical for real life conditions. The 5000mAh battery lasts for more than a day for me. I'm so used to the flip camera that I can't even imagine to shift to any other phone that doesn't have a flip camera mechanism. Lot of y'all might not interest in buying a phone that has a moving part but after all the adventures that I've been able to shoot through the ultra wide front camera, I cannot live without it 😵. I once even went parasailing high in the sky with my phone in my hand recording literally everything with the front ultra wide camera. flip camera is a necessity for me now.

I intentionally prevented it from closing a few times. Dropped it many times on that couch, sometimes from too short a distance for full retraction so it slammed it home. How is the handset speaker, speakerphone, reception with low signal, microphone, noise-canceling in the various talk mode, how well the blu-tooth works with a headset (one used on all test phones for consistency) with the phone in pocket, bag, or at a distance. I know you very briefly touched on handset speaker, but call me old fashion. I think a phone should first be a strong phone. The rest of the things are nice and useful. But if it has a bad antenna or is otherwise annoying to make and receive calls with then that ruins the point.

I just feel like it's asus spending the least amount possible to get the largest return it can. There are compelling features, like getting the 888 at this price, but wasn't there a supply issue with the flip pro last year? Hi Michael, would you be doing the new RedMagic 6? There were complaints that the 5 were much better than the new one

Nice Scotty quote. That's from V, right? If so, that's the best part of that movie.

@@TheMrMobile oh yeah, right. Good old Dyson sphere lol I'm not really one for MMORPGs, but they revisit that spot and it becomes a very important part of the story of Star Trek Online. I've enjoyed watching videos going thru the story of STO; you may as well if you aren't familiar with it. It's kinda cool where they go with it all, especially since they can do all sortsa shit in a video game that they never could on a show & even probably a movie.
