After 3 pretty rusty cars, I think you are ready for a challenge. I suggest an MX5 NA as your next project. On a side note, how is the Beetle driving experience? Is it enjoyable? Does it have its perks or is it just a dull 40+ year old car?

I still have the Alfa to go after the Z. The Beetle is fun. It is not fast and doesn't handle particularly well, but it puts a smile on my face when I drive it.

Plastic Sheet, that is brilliant, think ill by stopping past officeworks tonight. Like the new welder, my mate has a bossweld and i love using it. much better than my $400 Chinese heap. How many amps are you running for the panelwork? (I am finding any more than 20A blows holes in my project - but that is very thin japanese steel)
@HomeBuiltByJeff

I have no idea of how many amps I am running. I just put it on about B on the gauge.

Hi ... great video ... I have a 68 beetle with similar issues in the front quarters on both sides. Quick question. What type of sheet metal did you use and what guage Is the sheet. Thanks

Since people seem to only complain when they hate the music. I will do the opposite. I like the music you used for this episode. Music sets the tone of what is going on on screen, so something light and quick works well with sped up video. It's usually good to stay away from anything that has a hard staccato sound to it, or a minor key (minor keys sound sad...) or even vocals. The focus should be on what you watch, not what you hear in the sped up segments. :)

Thanks mate. The music is really the most complained about thing in my videos, so if that is the worst complaints I get then I am doing ok I suppose. I am not a music guy, so I have been refining it slowly. That includes turning it down so it is more in the background as well ;)

The battery is under the rear seat, so it takes the power from there to the front.
