As someone who loves G1, it's so funny to see we finaly get Optimus from Hasbro and people are losing their minds about it, but at the same time (which I didn't know untill few months ago) there are all these companies that makes smaller, yet more intricate transformers that both capture robot and alternative mode from original cartoon perfectly.

MS Robot mode always looks the best, but I like NA's Dino mode better. I will be buying both and display each in their best mode.

It's a mystery! I don't believe MS have even revealed their Snarl or Swoop. Worth the wait though, MS' stuff just keeps getting better.

If you can wait, then I think you should wait for their EX version, in which they have better paint. But of course you are taking a gamble that they might not release them and these won't be on sale anymore. I hate that MS never announces to their fans all the different versions that they will be releasing. I bought their Bruticus and now they are releasing a more toon accurate version, which is pissing me off. After the Dinobots, I'll wait for all their versions to be released before making a purchase, not being able to buy the original version be damned.

@@peace4myheart tell me about it! I pre-ordered these dinobots and I already have the first two. The third is surely just around the corner now. And then I hear the rumours of EX versions with paint. The lack of paint was the only thing that upset me about these figures. If they end up looking superior I will be very disappointed and begrudgingly fork out the extra cash for them. Wankers 😅

All I can say is WOW!!!!!!! It's too bad they are so small.... I collect Seige and Legacy, POTP Dinobots are not the best,(especially Grimlock) and SS Dinobots are way too big for my shelves. I wish these were the size of Seige Optimus.

Yep, no regrets so far having stayed faithful to the NA line. The hollowing of parts and the use of thin plastic armatures is a massive turn off. Good likeness in the dino mode though.

Where's the Sludge Review? Also, I don't know if I agree that it's pixel perfect. Slag's arms are too short in robot mode. The hands should be near the knees. At first I thought it looked better until I compared it to the animation. The same picture you showed. I think Newage looks better in robot mode. MS is more accurate in Dino mode, but Newage also has better articulation in Dino mode.

As good as the robot mode is, it seems lacking in articulation in terms of dino mode, especially in the head and tail
