I've just finished watching the anime and oh man, what a ride it was! I smiled, laughed, cried... and all of that within each episode, hell yeah! I really enjoyed it and needed to watch it, probably the most influential anime I ever watched. Just watched your Sonny Boy analysis and now this - feels good to listen to a video maker who has similar tastes and not afraid to go back to classics like this (can't believe it's 5 years, man 2018 was a good year for anime)! @@energeticstunts993 I don't mind depressed protagonists as long as they grow. If they don't then it's kind of boring because they are too depressed to do anything interesting in the story

@@SantanaBanana47 oh same here! Don't worry our protaganist turns from a horny self loathing piece of shit into an extremely talented magician as time goes on. He never gets rid of the self loathing aspect but nevertheless he does the best he can and it's so cool because you have this deep connection to the hero of the story. Like seriously, no wonder this anime has 5 stars

@@energeticstunts993 I did watch an anime called Kiznaivers and it had a depressed protagonist, but it was still very interesting somehow. It did seem like a lot of the story was driven by the other characters, but it actually worked pretty well. The reasoning for him being depressed is solid. It's one of my favorite anime's.
