A Place That Time Forgot - Mystical Canyons of the Wollangambe

We visit one of the most spectacular spellbinding rivers in New South Wales, Australia.

Hay Campfire Jesus, what a nice surprise to hear from you again. Glad you liked the video & can't recommend it enough visiting Wollengambie area. Michael Keats & Brian Fox have a series of hiking books for that area & you can get them on line or at the Lithgow Visitor Centre for the same price & without the postage cost, if your ever passing through. We've been enjoying your beautiful videos too & sorry I've not had time to make a comment on them. Your videos just keep getting better & we always look forward to the next one.

Thanks Alex, yes it's an absolutely stunning area along that river & we haven't even scratched the surface. NSW is one of the most diverse parts of Australia with the beaches, rainforests, snowy mountains, the outback & everything in between. A never ending playground to explore. yes it's hard to find words for the blue mtns canyons . I've seen more than most people as I use to guide them . Ancient, enchanted, amazingly, mystically, beautifully, spectacular lol there is no words for it really . you need about ten words at least . What a great trip . you guys sure do get around , You captured the area nicely with your filming and editing . Nothing like being there though eh . so many more canyons to explore especially if you have rock climbing and abseiling skills . but still many that you can just walk into like the ones you explored . happy adventuring

Thanks for the lovely comments. That's so cool you used to lead hikes in the area. Will definitely have to get some tips from you for sure. I got Shane some books on the area so lots of researching to do & we've been to a couple of other canyons we've been able to walk through & aim to go back to do a video. At this stage we'll give abseiling a pass haha...the body doesn't bounce like it used to when you hit the ground. Loving your videos also & lots to still catch up on since discovering your channel 🤩

@@bigskyadventures no worries ask me if you have any questions . Abseiling isnt very strenuous on the body except for the extra gear you need to carry . I know many in the industry and could get you a discount if you guys wanted to take a guided tour where abseiling is involved . lots of those canyons are even more spectacular if you can believe that . @@BushKayakersCampingAustralia That's awesome you know people in the abseiling world & good to know it's not as hard as it looks. Friends of ours do some abseiling & they've talked about carrying packs that weight 30kg+. Damned if I know how they do it haha. I'm very tempted to take you up on your offer in the near future & put me in touch with someone experienced. Life's too short to stay caught up in just everyday living.
