A Plot Summary of "Tenchu 3: Rikimaru"

One of the more shameless retcons in gaming history...

The Dojutsu was probably a reach, but it seems like the concept behind it was for Rikimaru's eye to be able to "see" despite the circumstances. He got his whole eye cut by Onikage at some point which partially blinded him and at the end, Tenrai makes it a big deal that his big black energy was something to "convert others" (hencewhy he wanted Rikimaru to get tricked a whole bunch and fall into despair). Long story short, the Dojutsu was probably a power where Rikimaru could negate the influences of "dark powers" and whatnot. The story could definitely be revamped (which is something I hope a remaster would happen) and I think instead of a Dojutsu not too well explained, they could do something between the connection with Izayoi's supernatural powers and Rikimaru himself.

you forgot to mention the fact that the real rikimaru got sent to the future when he went into mei-oh's portal and he killed some Cybernetic ceo,and he disappears it explains why he just appeared back in the past with that cave after onikage opened the portal back up.

I know that is not relevant to the story, but in "b side" version Rikimaru is searching for a secret invention of Tenrai: toillet papper. In b side of Ayame she is breaking a model agence, and in Tesshu he is looking for his boyfriend. Sorry for my English ;-; Still learning.

I loved Tenchu 3 a lot it was an amazing for a ps2 game...after I played billion times I noticed that Tenchu 3 is not challenging compared with Tenchu 1 and 2. Also the bosses and enemies were a bit lame, in the first two games you wouldnt even make it through the first missions in the game without losing several times. Also Onikage in Tenchu 3 is goofy and imbecile, he was a badass character in the first two games and they turned him into a clown.

also you can notice the differences between the fake rikimaru/shadow and the real one. the fake rikimaru is a lot smaller,while the real rikimaru is taller. also the hair to shadow is different from the actual rikimaru's. you didn't show the fake rikimaru in the video,however. when you play the game for the first time,you get to play as the shadow until he's killed off then,it's the real rikimaru skin from onwards,but there's a cheat that let's you play as the shadow version again.

Did Riki Maru(white hair) died in the 1 TenChu? TenChu 3 happened after first one right? So he didnt die in the volcano tunnel, was that he using the deep sleeping technique?

IIRC Riki did use that deep sleeping thing while he was in the gate to hell. The azuma ninja had a backup Riki to take over the originals duties. But he was conveniently killed or else he would have just been hanging around. I would have appreciated if they added shadow Riki as a new character after it was revealed that he wasn't the real one. Maybe it would have made it too Shonen, IDK.

Just beat the game today I beat the whole main trilogy now and all I can say I feel sad cause I love the series so much now and I heard many things about the later games not being as good as the trilogy and honestly the later games do look bad compared to the masterpiece of Tenchu 3 that gave you co op and versus mode secrets to unlock four playable characters while Tenchu fatal shadows just has 2 playable characters and there’s no rikumaru it’s just 2 girl characters the game has less replay-ability and no co op mode wich I mean overall Tenchu 4 is a downgrade of a sequel and Tenchu z you don’t even have a main character from shitty software just turned it to dark souls were you create a character it’s from soft fault for ruining the series and turned it into sekiro wich is good game but honestly they should’ve done a new Tenchu it’s there fault for ruining the series but I’ll still give Tenchu 4 fatal shadow and Tenchu z a chance and mabye the wii one but man do I love Tenchu 3 infact Tenchu 3 and dynasty warriors 5 are the main games I’ve been playing during lockdown the ps2 had so many great games genji is also an amazing games I grew up with still love it and I still need to try out other games like onimusha series wich had 4 games and a spin-off so many underrated games on ps2 even the games that got remasters I’m starting to just play on ps2 like jak trilogy and prince of Persia trilogy cause Honestly they just feel right and perfect on ps2

Tenchu 4 is set at the time between rikimaru dying and him coming back. I actually like the story with Rin and Ayame and it not being about DEMONS all the time. It was Rins story for sure but I don't understand why that was all we get of rin. The moment Riki shows up then its all about magic eyes and crap LOL. Tenchu Z had better gameplay for sure. I juiced my characters stats to speedy and burned through all of the stages. but that story was so bad I couldnt make a VGPS about it. Sucks. I do need to get the wii version. It doesn't look as fun though. psp version was god awful. Which one of the other games should I move forward in the queue. I've already finished capturing Prince of Persia 1 and 2. VGPS for POP1 is coming soon

@@VideoGamePlotSummaries ya I’ll give the other games a chance and Tenchu 4 does look like it has good story but i don’t understand why there is no co op, no versus, like it’s just 1 story mode we’re each lever you pick different character it’s not even individual like tenchu 3 and then I don’t understand why they couldn’t have Ayama, rin and rikumaru in 1 game 3 characters would be cool didn’t Tenchu 2 and 3 have 3 characters

Tenchu 2 had tatsumaru rikkimaru and ayame one of the goats of ninja games Ronin brings these vibes back but I miss tenchu 2 create your own levels challenge your friends
