For the people that don't get it: he's comparing being on a plane to zooming out of our everyday lives and looking at the bigger picture. The part where he says "no plane has ever crashed from turbulence" is reference to the fact that sometimes life gets hard, we just give in too soon to see our troubles end. When he says that on the ground he hardly ever thinks of even flying, he means he is so absorbed in his daily routine that the doesn't stop to think about his life as a whole.

“We all have to claim our baggage before we move on” 😢 My interpretation: The idea that our problems, our family, friends and relationships issues, death eventually no matter who you those burdens will hold anyone back, it will drag you and keep you from being your true self, It’s up to you to step up accept what you can and cannot change move on to the next chapter of your life, not forgetting but using those bad memories as learning experiences. I think hopefully that answers the guys question of what this these quote means Thx for the likes

When he talks about being able to see the end of the road but the cars can’t, he’s saying that life can seem so difficult, that this hard ship that your going through is never ending, but just by looking at your life as a whole you can see that it’s almost over, you just can’t see it. When he talks about how turbulence never killed anybody, he’s saying that this pain your going through is temporary, you just need to get through so that you can get to where you’d going, in other words, be the person you want to be. To finalise, it’s all a matter of patience.

I just want to say that I am so grateful for this poem. It grounds my thoughts. I listen to this poem over and over again and it gives me the understanding I need of my own negative thought and feelings when I myself cannot understand them. This poem reminds me to take a flight and look down, noticing that my thoughts and suffering are so small, and very much temporary and passing. This poem reminds me to not react to my loud negative thoughts or negative emotions and to look at myself and acknowledge my own contributions to the conflicts and suffering and be conscious of it. I give others the empathy and understanding, I get a break from my own pain and choose to see their pain. The more and more I listen to it, the more I get out of it. Thank you.

For a person that once wanted to end it all this really spoke to me a lot. Self hatered, comparing myself to others and the fear of letting others down are still unfortunately stuck with me but I’m fighting. The line that spoke to me the most was “how many of us would stick around if we knew that was was turbulent was ultimately harmless?” This is so deep and moving and I hope more people that are currently suffering can find out about you and find some peace and closure from your poems and videos.
