Clodsire actually handles Archaludon and Pelipper really well, being able to haze out Archaludon’s buffs, acid spray for your teammates, and with After You you can cheese Torkoal teams by clicking after you on your scarf Pokémon as you speed tie with Torkoal

Running offense clod as nidoqueen at home is certainly a choice no one would see coming but it does tend to hit like a wet noodle into anything that isn’t 4x weak. Also I’ve seen legit toracat usage a couple of times in formats where incin is really good so you effectively have two of them. It wasn’t good but it was a thing.

I used my first Luxray in Legends Arceus and they’ve always been a great in game. But it is criminal that it took until Indigo Disc to get a good Physical Electric move. Flareon, my favorite Eevee, got the same short end of the stick, taking forever to get a decent STAB move.

My VGC cope pokemon is Oranguru. Instruct it such a good move not to mention a pokemon with immunity to fake out (Thanks Inner Focus) allowing it to hold the mental herb giving it a one time resistance to taunt and is fairly bulky with investment has to be one of the best trick room setters in the game. This pokemon HAS to be viable in some format at some point, I'm just not good enough at making or piloting teams to prove it.

Luxray also gets Snarl to also reduce Gholdengo's attack, has pivot potential with Volt Switch and has a generally high enough Attack to run a flex physical slot, like Psychic Fangs. On Clodsire: I immediately sought out paldean wooper.... And immediately swept the game basically with it and fuecoco alone. Like flawless sweep. I never once struggled. Obviously that is a single player experience, but it's so insane to me that a lower bst nidoking is THIS good. All the hazards, toxic, tons of high damage moves with decent stats, and the ability/typing is amazing for Paldea. Clodsire is 12/10, Quag is still a respectable 11.25/10 with his recent buff

Pre-DLC someone else in a Discord server I'm in and I tried to figure out what the highest damage a single move can do in S/V would be if it wasn't for overflow stuff, and we ended up on Tera Fire Helping Hand Choice Specs +6 SpA Solar Power crit Overheat in Sun into Lv1 -6 SpD Fluffy Snom with Tar Shot applied with Beads of Ruin active And Charizard was part of that set up ... only to provide Solar Power to Chi-Yu The fish will always steal Zards show.

I want to say from personal experience this Reg. Charizard melts through teams. Sun, Life Orb, Tera Fire and Solar Power does scary damage. Especially when clicking Overheat to nuke a specific Pokémon. I even remember hitting a neutral target with my second Overheat and still oneshot it

I've found that using Eviolite Dipplin with Growth, Giga Drain, Signal Beam, and Dragon Pulse is...oddly effective. Growth lets it get a solid boost with its bulk, and the attack moves give it coverage and survivability. It even works well into sun teams since it takes neutral fire damage AND gets the doubled boost.
