Gary Crandall I agree!!!!! I watched a video last night of a guy who had his pittie at a swimming pool. The dog was whining to get into the pool, the guy kept holding the dog's mouth closed. But, he would lean down to kiss the dog on the head. Then, he forcefully turned the dog around to keep the dog from seeing the pool, and each time the dog tried to turn to see the pool, the guy kind of kneed the dog. Then, a woman had the dog tied up for whatever reason, and kept yelling at the dog. Then, they had a swing hanging from a tree, and they let the dog grab the swing, then jerk its body, trying to pull the swing down. I didn't see any real love for this dog, and the things the people were doing to the dog are the kinds of things done to them to train them to be aggressive.

Gary Crandall And, that's how it should be. I had two pitties a very long time ago, and had them for just a short time. I loved those dogs. The guy in the video I'm referring to was just mean to,that dog, I felt. I've seen how pitties are trained to fight, and although this guy's dog was gentle, he should be glad the dog didn't turn on him.

I have an american pitbull terrier. She is lovely and sweet. Something i observe though is that when she is playing, she plays a bit more rough and with more energy. That can be intimidating for other dogs and there starts the perception of them still being aggressive even though they are not used for fighting and are not trained to be aggressors.

Pit bulls are the best!!! Whoever says they are aggressive they don’t know how sweet they can be. 86% of dog attacks involve unneutered male dogs. Also, an aggression test showed that pit bulls were the second least aggressive, 92% of dogs tested passed the test. People train them to be aggressive because that’s what they’re known for. They don’t deserve that reputation.
