My brother rescued a dog from our neighbors cause they werent taking care of her properly it was pit her name was girl and in the begining she didnt trust us well i was a baby so i never rlly knew the dog but I remember when i was 4 she was so gental with me but she still didnt trust human 100% unfortunately a lot of my neighbors judged us for having a pit so close to a child and one of my neighbors we think poisend our dog cause one day she died and had white phome coming out of her mouth but she was also old i miss her and rlly wish i got to be with her more 😢😭 R.I.P Girl

They only have the reputation because we hear about pit attacks but not so much with other breeds! Obviously pit bites can be worse because of their powerful jaws (which isn't lock jaw that too many wrongly think!). They were #2 on the American Dog Temperament list under golden retrievers & they're nowhere near the top of the list of the worst biting breeds!

@@kaydoss1550 agreed. Back then the bad dog stigma was attached quite often to pincers and Rottweilers. I have owned 2 pits and have have several friends with them. When they are loved and cared for they are tremendous companions. With training and love they make wonderful therapy dogs. My ex wife and I had one that was trained as her service companion and it would piss us off so many times when we were looking for a new place to live and we kept getting denied because her documented service animal was a pit bull, yet they had all these other little ankle bitting terrorists running amok in the complex and they weren't even supposed to be there.

Bullshit. My daughter's pits are "lovers and great pets", and they're her babies. Since they were 6 weeks old. They took one look at my Husky (who really IS a lover) and head-butted their way through a wood fence to get at her, tore into her, and then after I got her back in my car and slammed the door they tried to tear the CAR apart to get at her. They are psychotic. They're bred that way.

The only dangerous pit is one trained to be dangerous or so unbalanced due to isolation and abuse - just like any other breed of dog would be. It's not about the type of dog, it's about the type of human. Every breed of dog, and every dog within a breed, HAS THEIR OWN NEEDS. If humans act stupid, treat animals stupidly, raise them insensitively, some animals simply are going to react negatively. Back circa 1970's, DOBERMANS were the "feared" and "notorious" dog. Bottom line, there is no excuse for animal abuse.

German shepherds where I lived. (Sweden) Anyone who wanted a 'tough' dog-to make them look tough and macho-had a German shepherd. Worse, a lot of people let their dog run without a leash back then. You're nine years old and afraid of dogs (I had been bitten, but by a small dog, as a 3-yr-old) and having a German shepherd-or any large dog-come running at you at full speed... And then jumping on you. ("Don't worry [said as if almost reproaching me] for being scared of their precious dog], he's really kind/sweet."

man x the ear clippings for pit bulls at least are for their benefit! It's more likely they will not get an ear infection if you clip. My pibby got an ear infection because we didn't know and we didn't get his ears clipped. He is very cute with his floppy ears, but the treatment was a little pricey and he doesn't like the drops in his ears. He's better now, at least. They get real dirty in those ears!

This is for all people. Be warned this story contains violence. Readers discretion advised. My father was a pitbull breeder. He was one of the better ones. But because of the hate, barely anyone wanted one. When i was born. He had already gotten a male neutered pitbull named sabor. As i gotten older, so did he. Just like humans. Sabor too also started losing teath. One day a new neighbor poped up l, he saw the old pitbull and said, "if that dog comes near me or my family i will shoot it". My dad ignored the threat, because of the fact that sabor cannot do any harm. A couple of weeks later my neighbor's daughter came out to pet and play with sabor. Sabor did not mind it, though he was old. But something happened, my neighbor saw her playing with sabor. He came out of the house and shot sabor in the chest with a hunting rifle. When the cops were called, all they did was dismisse the case as a pitbull attack. But me and my dad was not gonna let that happen. We had a trump card. We sued our neighbor for killing our dog. And we brought out a tape. This tap was from our security cameras. After the tap finished playing. Our neighbor was arrested for child endangerment, animal abuse, and lying to the police. Because of the media my dog was killed. But it does not end there. Groups have been created to try and exterminate pitbulls. Some just go to shelters and adopt pitbulls then immediately take them to a vet to have them euthanized. But others would go to people's houses and take the dogs from them and kill them on the spot. All because of the media.

​@@Niina1771そうそう。意外と中型と大型犬は気性の穏やかな種が多い（四国犬は除くあれはヤバイ）けど、小型犬はチワワ、ポメラニアンなんかは攻撃性が高いからすぐに噛みついてくる。大人ならそこまで脅威ではないけど、赤ちゃんは喉噛まれたりしたら危ない。

I agree with you, but thats like saying, "if im getting shot, id rather be a BB gun". It really does not get the point across, or give a real explanation about the dog. It is my opinion that, a well exercised and socialized pitbull, is one of the most docile and non-reactive dogs. I have two, and im not going to lie, "they aint Lassie", but i have never been in a situation where i thought, "better not let these dogs around this kid". They are fighting dogs, they have that in them, but herding dogs dont just all of the sudden start herding?! The fighting aspect has to be proactively taught to them, or else they're just another dog. I get why people are scared of them, i even get some of the negative comments, but just honestly give them a chance, you will be shockingly surprised how docile and soft they are.

I love pit bulls, I have lots of friends who have this breed of dog and those dogs are the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met because they are raised properly. That being said, I personally would never place an infant baby on top of ANY dog, just doesn’t seem like a good idea.

Naomi Alozie I wholeheartedly agree with your comment. If the dog made a sudden move, causing the baby to tumble over and fall, the owners would probably be upset with the poor pooch, when it wasn’t his fault. Dogs don’t ask their owners to put those babies on them, but I’m seeing so many people following this trend, I just wouldn’t do it.

Shelby Silverstein it was just for the camera . I’m sure a parent would never leave their baby left alone with their pitbull and im sure an infant baby would not know how to crawl even though that baby cannot crawl on top of the dog himself/herself. With that being said this was only for the video to show how cute the dogs are. The parent is clearly recording and most definitely aware of everything.
