I just tested this. Sadly the CZ75 and beretta92 can not take each others mags. The cz mag locks in on the beretta 92 but is too low to feed. The beretta mag does not lock in and jams the cz.

I think what she meant to say was that the mag is proprietary but the gun itself will take CZ mags as well as the proprietary mags. I might be mistaken tho.

Technically almost all semi-auto pistols are recoil operated rather than “basic” blowback, because the barrels lock to the slides and they both move together before unlocking. Pretty much all semi-auto .22’s and most 9mm PCC’s are “basic” blowback where only spring tension and the inertial resistance of the slide/bolt hinder opening. This pistol is “unbasic” blowback because it’s not truly locked, so pressure on the slide alone will open the breech, but along with the spring and mass resistance, it is further hindered from opening by leverage.

Not that crazy lol. American companies make some good stuff but a few of the FREE European countries have been producing great firearms for quite some time. the Chechs and Germans come to mind for sure. Hate to say it but feels like the US isn't leading the pack in very many areas these days.

I agree. Most "first to do" companies have a high priced product. It's a hard pill to swallow. But it's a lot of R&D work plus start up machinery. If PSA were to copy it, they'd cut out most of the R&D cost since someone else has done it and they already have a manufacturing base.

Unfortunately the little rollers were known to wear pretty fast. The logic of roller delayed (yeah, the CZ52 was locked, not delayed) when the Germans introduced it was that the rollers were from standard production roller bearings, so to replace them was not a issue.

The CZ 52 was a fully locked breach system, though. AFAIK, this is a roller-delayed blowback. So something closer to MP5; but the mechanism looks completely original, I don't recognise any resemblance to anything I know.

Roller delayed has huge potential. It has been around for a while and I am glad to see it revisited. Fixed barrel accuracy is a huge deal, but they will have to crack the code on lowering the price.

Looks about the size of a beretta 92.... my brother in law had a old military surplus one as his first handgun when he turned 21. Thing was a fixer upper, but worked pretty well... Now, back to the czech gun... it reminds me alot of the beretta. The barrel, the slide contours... even the general profile of the gun. Wouldnt be surprised if it was partially inspired by it.

I've tried the trigger pull of that gun myself at IWA and just from the feel I would say its way less than 8kg ... More like 6kg which is still ok for DA. What bothered me way more were the fixed sights which looked more like from and old CZ 75 to me but have a proprietary cut according to the developer of the gun. So what good is the advertised super-accuracy if I have crappy fixed sights?
