Just listened to this story for the first time. From my experience as a tattooer I can tell you that most infections likely take place due to poor aftercare. Do they offer neosporin on prison commissary? A dab of antibacterial ointment on a fresh tattoo can go a long way to help prevent infection. Some people will tell you that using too much neosporin can make the tattoo heal too fast, thus causing some of the ink not to set (resulting in a lighter tattoo), but if you ask me, even that result is better than what you wind up with after a bad infection.

I mean the book would definitely sell no doubt. The movie would be cool because a lot of suburban type people love movies like that.
