The Vitesse EVO range starts at £1,999.99 / $2,599 for a bike with Shimano 105, but Matthew has been testing a £3,699.99 / $4499.99 model with Ultegra Di2.
The new bike has a similar overall personality to its predecessor. It’s stiff, fast and fun, but best suited to performance-oriented riders - others may find it too firm and focussed for the everyday.

Vitesse are working closely with the USS navy . They are suppliers of the battleship grey paint currently used . If you wear grey kit with this bike you can win races as most people won’t actually see you pass

No not to race oriented bike as i would say most of us "plebs" will only ride 50 or 60 k on avarage spins , so why not a full race set up for that , who dose not want to feel like Sean Kelly , he won all around himself on Vitues bikes

I've heard that the general perception in the UK of Vitus is low quality / sub par. Has this changed in recent years?

We can't speak to public perception but Vitus bikes have pretty consistently earned high scores in our tests over the last few years, typically they punch above their price in either spec or ride. I think it's fair to say Vitus is trying to move away from being perceived as a budget brand, and new bikes like this one and the Energie CX bike are part of that. Thanks for watching!

Michael Bonner yes, I have a Vitus I ordered off of chain reaction and it was delivered exactly a week from the day I ordered it. Shipping was about $60-$80 which isn’t bad considering you’re spending several thousand and the box size. But heads up if you do order it will ship through DHL and you will have to be present to sign for it unless you fill out a signature release on their website

Thought about this for a minute and thought there might be some confusion as to what I meant on color offerings. It looks like there are only 5 models, each build with a different color. You should be able to Oder any one of those 5 colors with one of the groups they are using. Or at least be able to order just the frame/fork.

They have to make sure they're not recommending sizes that might not work in some cases. Vitus says 30mm tyres will fit no matter what rim/tyre combo you use, while 32s will probably fit but it's not guaranteed. Bear in mind that bike makers have to be conservative with this stuff - you or I might choose to risk running very tight clearances, but they have to conform to standards that demand a certain minimum clearance, IIRC it's 4mm all around the tyre, which is actually quite generous. In practice I suspect virtually any 32 will fit. Thanks for watching! -Matthew

Still not the same bang for buck as a rim brake road bike. My ~2.300€ road bike (built by myself from parts around an Italian carbon frame and a Campagnolo Zonda wheelset) weights 7.7 kg in a size 58 without pedals, nearly as light as the 3700£ Ultegra version of this Vitus bike. Oh, and the power meter is included in those 2.300€. Thanks, but no thanks.

I rode 70s and 80s full Campagnolo racing bicycles with Columbus frames, lots of shiny stainless steel spokes, shiney rims and beautiful painted frames. No color or shine to bicycles any more. So ugly and bulky looking, disc brakes? Really wierd, young people don't even know what a real racing bicycle looks like anymore. I will keep my 1983 Schwinn High Sierra with all that pretty chrome. Classic bikes are the only ones I will ever ride. 21 lbs total on a race bike is light. It's not the bike as much as it is the rider. A top shape rider can ride a 45 lb middle weight Schwinn with fenders just as well as anyone riding this bicycle.
