Fingers crossed they bring him in... it is an interesting thing because yeah, he's... immensely powerful... but is he even the most powerful mutant at this point? And... can he defeat Eranous single handedly? It would be pretty cool to see, kinda like Blerd was talking about... fabian etc, powering up sync and rogue... and having apocalypse AND sync and rogue... and hope I guess... all just going all out on the eternals... but it seems like they'd need... essentially the powers of: Northstar (poor quicksilver lol) Colossus Jean or kid omega Exodus Vulcan Bishop I mean... the eternals are all Superman like beings so... it seems like it's pretty shagged for the xmen unless they use a strategy like this... forming a team of boosted, power borrowers/ absorbers.. essentially creating their own temporary 'S' tier/ god tier mega mutants... and even then... while this combination would probably overpower an eternal each... there's only 3 of these characters available for such a beat down/ display of power... and while that's how I'd write it... and it is logical... it would kinda break marvel comics forever. Like... how would the xmen ever lose to anyone, ever again? Just get the 3 Trump cards in a room with the necessary conduits, and send them out like the voltron squad/ annihilators, to end whatever threat there is... It's a great dream though... Edit: I guess you'd probably want to give them wolverine and nightcrawlers Powers too for good measure.. but rogue can only hold 5 powers at a time I'm pretty sure, while hope would need to have all the conduit mutants within a reasonable radius, which would obviously be dangerous... but thinking about it, as we've seen with hope summers in maybe the utopia storyline... or just messiah war... hope can be a mutant god just by herself if the writers care to use her how she has been written to be capable of. She can just anyone's powers on krakoa or arrako by default... she should be near invincible all on her own.

Most likely they are tying Deviants to Mutants now because this will be how Mutants are gonna be explained in the MCU. A single rogue Deviant or even group of them bred with early humans and they carried a deviation/mutation in their genes.

Mutants and Deviants are already linked canonically. When the Celestials first showed up on Earth, they affected the genes of humans to create three races: The Eternals, The Deviants, and regular humans. However, even baseline humans were affected so that under certain situations they could gain powers (mutates such traumatic physical events (as Spider-man and the FF) or if there was sufficient background radiation or other ongoing issues (resulting in mutants). [Mutants are referred to as "Children of the Atom" because the increase in background radiation has sparked a rise in mutants.] The Kree even took advantage of this in an attempt to use humans to create their own living weapons, resulting in the Inhumans. Gaea and the other goddesses did the same when they released the genetic potential of the Young Gods to please the Celestial's Fourth Host. This means that Marvel already has the Eternals, Deviants, and mutants linked canonically due to a shared common origin.

By that same logic, mutants could be Eternals or since Eternals and Deviants are both altered humans then mutants, the offspring of the then unaffected humans, can be termed Eternal/Deviant as the Eternal/Deviants are termed and classified. So, not all Deviants but a new classification or species or a delayed creation of......new Eternals, Deviants but more like a new classification of Eternals(Omegas), new humans (Alpha mutants), and new Deviants (morlocks). It's too "pat" to try and put all of mutantkind under the Deviant umbrella. So, Druig and the Eternals behind this foolishness are totally in the wrong and are jealous because they see that mutantkind will eventually outclass them and that scares them. They're just as bad as the human mutant haters.

As has been laboriously pointed out time and time again in the various Eternals comics, the Celestials created three separate branches of humanity: Eternals, Deviants, and humans, with humans having the ability to mutate. That's THREE SEPERATE branches, not three that crossover with each other. Also, keep in mind the group of monkeys that developed telekinetic and telepathic powers that were destroyed by the Eternals due to "excess deviancy". It's already been shown that you don't need to be a Deviant to suffer from "excess deviancy"; you just need to have mutated far enough from the baseline. Which Druig says mutants have done. Also, Druig has already been shown to be after mutants not due to some sort of jealousy but because he wants to unite Eternals against a common enemy, and has decided that mutants are that common enemy. He's doing it solely for power, not for jealousy. He's not putting mutants under the Deviant umbrella, just noting that mutants have strayed too far from their human stock. Deviants can most likely use the gates because they are mutants in their own way with human DNA (they are descended from humans, albeit millions of years in the past). [Admittedly, Uranos is doing it because he hates all forms of deviancy, but that's also why he's in THe Exclusion.] So mutants aren't branching into their own version of the Eternals/Deviants/human trinity; they've been branded as a group as suffering from "excess deviancy" and marked for extinction by Druig to further his own political plans. The aren't actually Deviants, as per the subrace of humanity.

Emma Frost is the one who invited the Deviants to Krakoa. So maybe Krakoa allowed them to enter. Remember, Krakoa can choose who enters. So unless Marvel really confirms it, I am sticking to the old story. Druid wanted war with the mutants so maybe he is politicising it. But the Deviants' arrival to Krakoa was due to Emma Frost... and where Emma is involved, I think twice

It opens some questions for stories down the road. Kronos, being the father of Mentor, blew up, which I can't remember how they would had earlier mentioned that the Externals covered his spreading of self to the Cosmos level. Shouldn't the Machine have recreated him? So, was Suisan (Thanos's mother) and her people as well-being Externals? Or is it the machine reaches out so far? When then is Drax the Destroyer, if his soul was a human but given the soul of a human killed by Thanos. Yeah, Imma go with nope on the Starfox idea. I'm noticing a pattern with Eternals suggesting things and bad things happening. Here it doesn't seem particularly thought out. Freeing Starfox to get everyone on the same page should work, in theory, but I feel like the New Celestial will see past that and judge their actual character or actions. Also, he's a serial r*pist. Him going into EVERYONE'S HEAD and potentially making it so they permanently feel affection for him, specifically, is a very obvious formula for a bad plan. Not just cause it may not work, but the fact that he'd violate you to do it. He's shown that he (like Empath) doesn't seem to have the capacity for interaction with people he can't (at least partially) use his powers on. Also, its possible that the Celestial will sense Starfox's character on everyone who's mind he's touched, which is.....Clearly a bad idea. If anyone else had this power I'd say go for it, but I can't help but feel that this'll go badly the second he's involved. Maybe put Ajak and Makkari on ice until we can come up with a real plan that wasn't made by delusional "ends justify the means" zealots?

Thats been retconed, 4 billion years ago the prime celestial died and from his blood and guts game the X gene 2 billion years later the First generation of Mutants called Threshold, they die out some time, then 1 million years ago celestial reintroduced the X gene

Maybe the eternals and deviants are mutants and maybe so too are the Atlantians (they are distantly related to deviants) and the inhumans (based on the change with Kamala in the mcu)

Anyone could’ve told them that trying to nuke Arishem 2.0 was a big no-no., but I’m starting to think that even everybody laying down their arms and singing kumbaya was probably not going to work either. We know Arishem 2.0 is judging EVERYBODY no matter what they try to do and passed judgment on Steve, Emma, destiny, and mystique on individual reasons and failed them all. He even judged Kro and found Kro to be just oddly enough. So we’ll see what happens next

I don't mind the deviant thing. I can follow the logic actually since they are already connected. But the eternals just body the x men I disagree. For example super speed doesn't just beat probability. Domino power just activates around her. Not saying who would win. But there are xmen that would give that work to eternals. I think characters like snyc, hope and rogue would be a big threat. Probably just for the story.

Ok, so here's the things- deviants and eternals are a branch of humans created by the celestials from humans during their experiments. So yes mutants may be that deviant potential in humans coming to the fore-- remember the entire Skrull race are deviants and they still have mutants among them. that humans can gain superpowers are due to the same experimentation that created deviants and eternals

Could be interesting if they basically retcon the Deviants into the first mutants. The events of early Arrako Krakoa Atlantis and Lamaria as told in the Eternals comics the modern Xmen comics and some from Namor and elsewhere could all be retconned as early human mutations created by the Celestials all apart of a greater story the rise and fall of the first Mutant Deviant empire lost to war with Ammeth and Judgment from the first host.

I hope they don't recant it, that and Okkara (Krakoa and Arrako) isn't old enough to be connected to Atlantis and Lemuria. The war with Ammeth only happened about 1000 to 2000 years ago. It's already canon that the Celestials created the Deviants, Eternals and Mutants at the same time. Either way, I hope they don't recant things and make Mutants and Deviants the same.

There was also another mutant nation dating back millions of years ago pre-Okkara called the threshold which is being featured in Marauders so it could go either way

But the Threhold one is a bit odd cause they found a message from the Threhold that was written by Katy Pryde and in Mysterium. So I'm thinking those mutants weren't actual from that time, but were sent to that timeline?

I think its better to think of it as different kinds of Deviants. Mutants are Deviants, but not all Deviants are Mutants.

I'm still hoping not. I mean I wouldn't call Druid rushing the machine to find deviants mean the mutants themselves. It could easily have been Krakoa and Arrako that are the ones it detected as Deviants. Also Emma mentioned that she had been making a deal with the Deviants and that's why the Deviants were able to enter a Krakoa gate. So I don't think this comic solidifies Deviants and Mutants being related given Emma's involvement. Mutant's, Eternals and Deviants are kinda related in that they were made at the same time by the Celestials. Has for it being said the Deviants and Mutants being the same, only since this even started have I heard that 🤷‍♂ Either way, I really hope they don't recant it so mutants and Deviants are the same.

@@dragan404 We already know that Apocalypse, the first of the 2nd gen of mutants found Okkara like 3,000 or farther back and there may have already been mutants on Okkara. There is this handbook that says Okkara fall a 1,000 years ago and Apocalypse is only 5,000. What I'm saying is that we more or less know when it ended, and there is no proof that it was around 1million years ago. It could be 6,000 or 20,000 years old and it could be a child of Gaia, or it could be a Deviant 🤷‍♂ Given the events I'm leaning towards Deviant, and with Druid rushing the machine and wanting to hear the details I think Krakoa and Arrako are the Deviants. Not fact, just what I think and hope.

That movie was so much garbage, my disposal was backed up for days. I feel like most comic movies are kind of dumbed down or don't have the scope to live up to comics, probably because not a lot of folks that see the movies read the comics.
