I disagree with Storm being so acquiesce when it comes down to Pro X and his decisions no matter how good he dress it up. Storm, before Jean or any other X-Men, is the only one who not only disagreed with Charles but also left and started her own team to hunt down Destiny’s Diaries (one of the best story arcs I’ve ever read involving Storm leading a team). Sure Cyclops has left before but in the manner of giving up or quitting especially during those times. Storm goals has been compared to Magneto’s when it comes down to mutants and with Prof X when it comes down to humans but she has always used her own judgement. Even recently Jean and Nightcrawler has had doubt in Charles’s judgements and has even questioned it. Magneto knows what he’s telling Storm and why he’s telling her because he knows Storm is not brainwashed by Professor’s dream but the fact that she truly believes in the dream itself and will not let anyone corrupt or simply destroy that dream. I knew it was too much of a title and position for Storm to have Marvel wise. Everything that Storm was or could be when it was a chance for her to great it was either taken away by some stupid means or she was written to turn it down. Now she and Black Panther are completely through as if they never had anything. Black, single, no family, no children, no definite future, no status. But they somehow manage to make a god like Thor a bigger god, Hulk a god, Ironman a god even Spider-Man became a god but an actual goddess (only that one time with Doom turning her into a statue) has never attained true Godhood without the help of a god like Loki or a view from the black cortex. Storm needs a great writer like Coates who will take the time and explore her true powers.

I love this, i couldnt agree more. Dont me wrong, i like Al Ewings work but like you said, every title Storm has, eventually gets taken away. I liked this story line but i feel like its going to be a repeat of Maruaders and its already starting to show. Storm left once the Marauders had found their feet, now Arrako has found theirs she is slowly giving up. I dont think this whole action would phase Ororo to this point, she's gone through harder and more challenging stuff unless Ewing plans to take this somewhere. I also couldn't agree more with you wanting Coates to write Storm, that black panther run was everything!

This was so well said and summed up my thoughts perfectly. For me I felt that Storm being the Regent age would have more impact on an event that transcended different books but she was only really utilized in Red and second fiddle. The focus is always on the same characters and her giving up being the Regent I don’t see it as giving her more room to be used just more of the same used as background fodder. I also hate what they did with the relationship Coates built up with Storm and TChalla, not saying Storm needs to get pregnant and disappear from comics but it’s always just her, failing relationships, lost/dead family, no offsprings being developed, no spouse. I’m just really over it and her being an after thought

And I can see how it would play out (with some of my insights and retcon) T'Challa would want their child to remain a serect to the world especially the xmen, stork hates the idea and goes behind his back without hearing about his secret he wanted to share with her. She reveals her child to her best friends and others she deems family (Jean, Gambit, and Rouge) but unknown to Storm Mr. Sinister, Sebastian and Apocalypse have plans to use said child to take over Wakanda. This turns it self over the mutants heads cause T'Challa secret is revealed that Wakanda had more mutants than Gentle thanks to some being half wakanda due to mix AA (African American) and more and tge intergalactic of wakanda having outnumbered the mutants of Krakos. Storm is ashamed of both parties but sides with T'Challa in order to protect their child, now the mutants have to deal with a civil war and a intergalactic war with Wakands P.s T'Challa expected some of the quiet Council would do this and was purpared for it

Lodus Logos is one who voted to stay when the Great Ring voted to either go back to Amenth or to stay. I seem to remember him saying something that it was time they worked for peace and a new future instead of living in the past. There is a reason Progenitor took the form of Tarn the Uncaring. In that datapage of Isca's past, it revealed that she did do stuff that was her own choice, stuff that made her a traitor. While her powers may have made her choose the side of Amenthi Daemons, it didn't force her to work in the prisons that held the Arakii mutants. She did that on her own, just as her powers did not make her take a lover. Not just any lover, she took Tarn as a lover. Tarn, who most of Arakko hates with a passion for his overseeing the prisons and subjecting Arakiis to vile experiemnts.

The Sentinels are already back, they just haven't gone mutant hunting like old times. Remember early arc when Krakoan story began? I think it was in Hox/Pox when a team was sent to destroy the Mother Mold that was orbiting the Sun. We saw some odd sentinels mining on Mercury that were recalled to the Orchis station that housed the Mother Mold to help the humans deal with the invading force of mutants. They were the force that killed the mutant (Jean?) in the escape pod, the last member of the mission team.

3:50 I think magneto got this impression from Charles BECAUSE of the X-Men themselves. It was basically Charles protecting (often ungrateful) humans using the lives of not just mutants, but YOUNG mutants, that he put in dangerous situations.

I don’t like how storm just seems like a background character. I thought when they launched X-Men red this time it was going to be a moment for Storm to shine on her own. It just seems like, in the end, she hasn’t truly had that moment other than defeating Vulcan. Although I do like the series, I thought this would showcase more of Storm unleashing Her potential in a major way. They kind of did that when she merged her powers with magneto giving him part of her life force, however, I still feel like he outshined her and he was the one that had the true power to destroy the enemy. I don’t know

Still feel same as I felt yesterday about Storm involvement in this event, no judgement given yet atleast, treated as supporting character even though she represents mutants of both Krakoa and Arrako amd a leader and influencer in both. Yet she's been in the background. Maybe her judgement will be in immortal xmen or axe 6 but those aren't books about her main story right now xmen red is and she didn't get it there.

The Progenitor itself was touched by the character of Magneto through this story arc. If Storm was ever given a proper judgement, she would most likely be passed on the spot for risking her life for both her Native people, and her adoptive people. I think judgement on storm would be a moot point. She would pass without question given her actions in the current arc. Especially because all of her political actions with the Remnants of Arrako have been to repair/better the world, rather then consolidate power and corrupt the circle. However there is a very slim possibility storm would fail herself out of guilt for "failing" magneto. Its not the first time that the progenitor has agreed with a character who has more or less willed themselves to pass or fail. Although its still not exactly clear whether or not that interaction with doom was a gag, or a serious thing of the Progenitor agreeing because Doom is an unwavering person even in the eyes of oblivion.

Jean Grey felt she atleast deserved to pass because she atleast trying to do right by everyone and save as many people as possible even at cost of her life and she failed. We got Luke Cage, Spiderman, Doom Judgement but not Storm who's apart of governing body of two mutant populations, long time mutant rights advocate and mutant Xmen in the Avengers Versus X-men Versus Eternals event. She might get a judgement page at the end of the story, but the Progenitor likely would have suspended its judgement of storm because of her actions on Arako with Magneto. The Progenitor respects magneto and his convictions, and hes a lesser man then storm is in most cases depending on the writer. So its only fair to assume the Progenitor will look favorably on Storm. Although she in reality will likely not be judged during the main story. As all of her actions even after magneto's death have been selfless and for the betterment of the next generation. Rather then trying to pick up the pieces and consolidate power. Her giving up the throne and accepting the seat of loss would probably be convincing enough for the Progenitor that storm is worthy of passing.

I see two possible ways Magneto could come back at the end of this Judgement Day event. 1- some fans already suspect a heal-turn event: that Progenitor will bring back the dead when he reverses his judgement and allows Earth to survive. Or 2- Xavier ignores Magneto's wishes and has him resurrected anyway. I suspect this because of two things A- the old history of rivals/enemy/friendship between them and B- the look of shock on Xavier's face as he telepathically eavesdrops on Magneto's lil speech there. He may want to have Mags around to balance him akin to how Emma once wanted Kate around back in Astonishing X-Men to take her out if she got out of control.

I dont think the Progenitor will reverse his judgement, rather he will simply suspend it. More then he sees Humanity, Mutants, and eternals in a funny show actually working together to bring humanity back and simply give them a year or so to put their money where their mouth is before he returns/reactivates and continues his judgement of earth. The Progenitor himself was already impressed with the fact that everyone finally came together, and he was regretful that it was far too late. The progenitor will be convinced most likely to suspend judgement on humanity and give them a time period to genuinely try and fix the world/convince him life has meaning.

@@user-gk5mt9ox5f People aren't *bored* of the Krakoa era per se, they are more bored of the concept of willy nilly resurrection. There are no stakes to anything in the Krakoa era. Theres a decent amount of good storytelling because of the amount of risk that can be involved. but once you realize they can all be resurrected with no punishment, it loses its glamor really fast. The one part of the attempt of taking out Orchis i wanna say was an in editorial joke about it. Orchis has 16 wolverine skeletons in pods. They killed wolverine over *17* times. Thats how stupid resurrection is. A lot of durable mutants are heavily nerfed in terms of durability, and even though they are nerfed, Resurrection removes risk.

@@thefallencog while it might seem that resurrection may be a cheat code, it doesn't mean that the mutants don't have consequences for their actions. There are so many other things that brings stakes to a story other than the risk of someone dying. That's the whole reason why people like myself are satisfied with the Krakoan Era even though death is inconsequential to most of the storytelling. The tension, drama and stakes revolve around situations and schemes and their survival as a population. Even if resurrection is no longer on the table characters dying in comics rarely happens, and if it does it becomes an event only for said character to come back to life a few comics later. Mutants having resurrection gives the writers the room to speed up the coming back to life process and to reduce the amount of plot armor many of the characters carry.

@@thefallencog I never said people were bored of this era. I also beg to differ that resurrection raises the stakes because it’s a power that the mutants abuse that does have consequences. The gaps in memories, are they clones ? Are they the same person? Dying beyond the universe can corrupt resurrection. It’s like a glitch in a video game that everyone uses but you know that’s gonna get patched. We all know that day is coming. That’s the thing about krakoa. The promise of paradise, immortality, sex, youth, etc. and yet there’s always trouble in paradise. I see where you come from, but there’s another perspective that you can look at. Having Wolverine die that many times isn’t the far out of the equation. Nimrod and Karima are monster and probably use power dampeners while killing them as we saw with the fight during inferno. You don’t have to agree, but that’s just my take

I think Isca's power, as DiCosta (And NOW the Fisher King) demonstrated, makes her easily manipulated, and easy to use to manipulate events and probability fields. All you'd need to do is bet against the people you want to win. This does lend itself to some paradoxes though: What if 2 separate people held "diametrically opposing" bets with her? how would that shake down?

It's actually very true. Her powers, if not something which is she can turn on and off can become her greatest weakness simply by tricking her into defeating herslf. Depending on the challenge or circumstances but we need to know more about how her powers functions because at this moment she can be tricked into defeating herself, especially if powers work similar to spidermans spidey sense which is something that's not within his control. Also, we already know that she isn't unbeatable because she doesn't seems to be alive in the future which means she may have been killed by Nimrod because why would she flee if she's unbeatable? She may have been turned into Sentinel all due to her powers turning on her similar to Blue Beatles suit.

Magneto will come back in the classic Marvel way and hopefully the first sign of the Resurrection bull will finally be over. It was a great read, but that whole 10,000 years thing was confusing. They've usually said a 1,000 to 1,000's of years having been at war in Otherworld on Arakko, but in a handbook (which isn't always 100%) said Okkara split into 2 and Arakko went to Otherworld a 1,000 years ago. Apocalypse came to Okkara long before that, but it has been strongly hinted that mutants and Isca was there before him. But now them saying 10,000 years throws me, I know time does move very differently in Otherworld but it doesn't add up to what has been said? So if Arakko went to Otherworld a 1,000 years ago, and with time moving differently to them it would be 2-3,000 years. And if this 10,000 years thing is spot on then Isca and Genesis have been in "this" world for 8,000 years, making them 3-2,000 years older then Apocalypse as well as Okkara. PS I want that T-Shirt

8:19 I don't trust anything Destiny says. I really think there's a catch to her power that she's not aware of. When it's something long distance in the future and she sees it it always doesn't come true. Case in point when she was dead and they had her diaries. The only time these futures came the past is when someone actively trying to make this happen after they read them. Destiny always seems to do something to make these futures happen especially if it's something that benefits her. When she see something she always acts like once it's seen it's going to happen but if it's something that benefits her she actively tries to make it happen. Even lying or bending the truth to make it happen for her. I even think her own prejudice and bias cloud to what she sees. They need another mutant or character that can predict the future go against her just to see if she's actively making these futures happen.

It is long established that Destiny sees multiple possibilities of the future. And she has stated that she pushes toward possible futures vision that she favors. I don't blame or fault Destiny for using her powers to push the world to a future she likes. However, her powers are unique. And even other precog power work differently. For example, Idyll the Seer of the Great Ring of Arakko is a precog as well. But sees the true future that can not be changed (not possibilities like Destiny).

I agree, His powers seem to be limited by a lot of things. Create metal (even infinite amount). If he has to talk to create the metal, there was multiple ways to stop him from talking. And if he can't do anything with that infinite amount of metal, then it isn't a very practical power.
