What's crazy is that not a single member of the Great Ring died to Uranos. Sobunar and Lactuca were off fighting in other areas of the planet; against Isca and in space respectively. Storm wasn't there. Lodus, Xilo, Ora, and Magneto were the only ones to actually fight against him and they all survived. So realistically, he failed his fight with them too. And if there's anything we've learned about the mutants of Arakko: If you take a shot, you better not miss.

if you take a look at page 2 Idyll has already predicted the outcome. Magneto is the empty heart that beats hardest. The Fisher King is the Empty hand (weapon-less mutant) that deals the impossible blow and Storm is the Stalemate that ends Isca (Victory's Loss).

While I could not see Magneto dying so soon after excluding himself from the backup protocols, but I must say, seeing Mags flex and laugh off Death this way was a masterpiece shot. And Earnie, I think Magneto is using his classic control of blood via iron in the bloodstream to keep his blood flowing through his veins and arteries without his heart (plus the electric processes needed). We can assume this has a time limit since the heart may do a bit more than his power can imitate, but MANNNNNNNN!

Basically, all Eternals have a “Class” which is how they direct their powers to a specific goal. Ikaris puts his telekinesis, energy manip., celestial powered cells, etc. into flying faster. Its an artform how he does it. Same for Sersi and transmutation.

This video helped...a lot. Seeing a single Eternal run through a bunch of Omega level mutants and battle hardened Arakki seemed insulting to everything we know about mutants. Also, Druig doesn't want Uranos to turn on Eternals, but seeing what he did in a single hour, why (aside from real world keeping the X-men IP) would you stop him from finishing the job? And someone as smart, long lived and skilled as Uranos leaving survivors due to arrogance reeked of b.s.. But, again, this video helped. Thanks.

I mean, Uranos is a Patriarch of the Eternals. He's like on the level of a Skyfather and it took the might of the two other Patriarchs and countless other Eternals to finally defeat him and even then, he was able to engage in a psychic battle against an Eternal Uni-Mind for like a century straight. . Uranos is basically Thanos with Gate of Babylon. And he was able to cause that much damage to Arrakis while only taking out 0.003% of his total Armory.

Also I wouldn’t be surprised if Legion decided to make a deal with Uranos or chose to get an understanding and then chose to not fight and observe. Because I don’t think he’d go down doing less damage to him than Cable did.

Good issue. I'm really looking forward to the strike back and how they will get Arrako population back.. Since Krakoa era of X-Men had been I felt with the introduction of Arrako mutants they haven't been used no where near their potential. I hope this changes after this event. I'm also hoping for a Apocalypse and Genesis return. Apocalypse teaching Uranos some respect and Genesis taking out her b1tch of a sister

While you have a good point about them not seemingly paying off narratively yet, it's all too frequent that one writer does something paradigm shifting like that and the following writer(s) has no idea or had no plan how to take it from there. Then we get stagnation for a few years, resets or subpar use.

@@monstermoo4191 Additionally, the things they had setting up are all pretty much still in flow despite this situation: the Great Ring will still be giving Storm grief, especially now with new blood needed and revenge wanted; Isca's still around and has flipped sides before due to her powers so may not be ultimately blamed for killing another Arakki council member; Ora Serrata was only wounded so whatever is to come out of LofX will continue; Fisher King lives on; Death is still with the Vampires; Zsen is still out there for however much longer they're going to use her after LofX; ... ; there may even eventually either just have an Idyll IV pop up or a parent/grandparent return to the role of Omega seer. All of those featured to run with Storm's Brotherhood live on too, so the things set up with Brand are unchanged. For the most part, wiping out that many Arakki actually doesn't disrupt anything they were already doing - just added more things to complicate their relationships with Earth now that they'll have a grudge with Eternals (and probably act on it on some not even responsible for the attack to further complicate things).

Wow, I'm really behind 😳 Anyhoo... 20:00 - I suspect you're right about the Fisher King, after a fashion. I think his ability is much the same as what I consider my own "superpower" to be... Puzzles. Seriously. I have always had an uncanny ability to see how pieces fit together at a glance. As I got older it moved on from just simple jigsaws and Rubik's cubes when I got old enough to understand that EVERYTHING is a puzzle - even people. I think that's what the Fisher King's power is... He can see where all the pieces need to be and move them there... If that makes sense.

Question? With the power of magnetism and being able to control blood couldnt he just manipulate all his stem cells in one location while continuing his blood food to actually regenerate a new heart. When you think about just like most of storms elemental ability is due to her ability to psionically control the elements at a subatomic level which in sense would lead her to be able to manipulate anything, it’s kinda the same with magneto! All cells use energy whether it be a spark of electrons being released for rna to be created, or even the brain of nucleus telling which cells to make what. So if magnetic in term gathers all the cells in his body and magnetically changed the coding of the cell nucleus wouldn’t he gain a healing factor!?!?!?

Red blood cells have iron in them. If Magneto either took an anatomy class or somehow can sense how the blood in his body flows, he can stay alive until he can get a new heart.

The iron in hemoglobin is oxygenated, so chemically speaking, blood is as magnetic as paper. That's why Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) doesn't cause aneurysms. Magneto can manipulate his blood but it won't be through magnetism but the molecule manipulation aspect of Electromagnetism.

I am hoping we finally get 2 versions of the Same Mutant for multiple versions...or we learn of a Black Ops Clone Team of Back-ups that Agreed to it...or we finally get our 1st Generation Chimera's...which we all know must be coming down the Sinister Pipe from Gillen...between Gillen and Ewing (just the level they are Both Writing right now..) the rest of the franchise is free to have more fun and explore less serious stuff...it is refreshing to see that the X-Staff have managed to jeep things moving so well post-Hickman. I can't imagine anyone else just continuing his FF or Avengers runs from points he was headed...but his idea for the X-Men Franchise was more successful than everyone involved could have ever hoped. There are 4 distinct X-Men Ages that people can recognize from the outside. 1) The Original 2) Giant Size X-Men + Claremont 3) X-Men #1 4) Krakoa The Franchise moved around A LOT since Messiah Complex and the destruction of the mansion (they even went back and then left it ruins Again lmao) and never settled until Krakoa...and then they did the brilliant thing and did a weekly release for 3 months to reboot the entire thing. Which provides a Literal 12 Issue Island in the Franchise that can be used to Onboard New Readers JUST like Giant Size X-Men and X-Men #1 did (even though that also burst the Comics Bubble) And there are alot of great and influential stories in between all of those, but it had been 30 Years since there was a Linewide Relaunch that was so Openly Embraced by the Collective Fandom.

I was kind of disappointed when they only gave the Eternals one power in the film, but I guess they wanted to make them unique from one another in some way. If this was what he could do with that much of his resources and by himself the mutants are in trouble. I am glad not all of the great ring died, I knew Idyll was going to die eventually as she herself revealed but i was hoping she could get more development. Her power snake looks so sad. I had a feeling this was going to happen with Isca, wonder what role she will have to play in all this, and while i get she doesn't have a choice but to switch she seemed a little too giddy. Given the text refers to night having fallen and if Blerds theory about the Fisher King is right I wonder if the seats of night are all weaponless mutants. Omegas like the rest but not offensive.

While all Eternals are incredibly powerful, they each have abilities sporadic to that Eternal. The average Eternal can lift roughly 30-50 tons, few Eternals can lift more than that. Superman is a 100 ton class guy, lifting far in excess off 100 tons, very few Eternals can match that level of raw strength. Just a few who can, are Gilgamesh, Uranos, Kronos, Thanos. & Hyperion

Based on your logic sir this is possibly why beyond omega level mutants formed. It was to be able to protect mutants from the Eternals and those above them. Which means eventually Gambit would have no choice but to be restored. Remember that he was literally considered a beyond Omega Mutant. His abilities was so powerful that he was almost considered to be the most powerful mutant around. And that power is what scared him. That is why he sought out Morbius to remove a part of his brain so that he wouldn’t reach that level of power. But should the right circumstances present itself then he would have no choice but to restore his full abilities so he can save himself and all other mutants.

I think a lot of the Omega Mutants are beginning to Realize that they are Direct Conduits of some kind and that their Consciousness is not bound to their Physical Bodies. Iceman is already there. Kid Omega appears to be learning how to do that right now, and Storms manipulation of Energy has been Incredible in just 4 issues under Ewing... I think Ewing and Gillen are building towards something big about Omega Mutants that causes the Eternals to Reconsider What Deviation really means and Actually Leads to...if Omega Mutants and Deviants have So Much in Common VS Mutants and Eternals...

I bet the Avengers won't help in shit until a building is destroyed in NYC. Then they will play the card that they always wanted to help, but things are complicated and their hands were tied. Capt. America will make that face of "I am a hero, but I can't help", Tony will use his quips, Reed will think that because Xavier deleted the knowledge to turn off the X-Gene, maybe all mutants should deal with it. Only Nova will help, cuz the kid is cool. My dream is Xavier leading the Quiet Council to war doing his "To me, my Quiet Council" and they turn the Eternals into dust, so all those selfish humans may discover the Eternals secret of eternity.

She is like Eden Fesi aka Manifold. She is a universal shaper, space manipulation in other words, how ever the differences is that Eden 'asks' the universe for favors and I don't think Latuca needs to ask, I'd even say space would submit to her, in x men red issue 1 is states that she sings to space too so maybe that be the reason why

What annoys me about Isca is that she doesn't vocalize that she disliked switching sides. When she is forced into using her powers she screamed, yelled and got angry at Sunspot. In this case, Isca could be vocalizing that she is being forced to pick a side and actually show some anger or sadness for betraying her people.
