Always disappointed to hear PSVR2 games don’t take advantage of foveated rendering and have the highest visual fidelity possible. I guess I’m spoilt by Red Matter, Kayak VR & Subside. I hope this game gets a PS5 Pro patch to improve the clarity of the resolution.

Why a pro patch? it makes no difference at all. You’ve heard the pro patch for subside is no different to ps5 so why would aliens be any different? The pro is a con and not worth the money. People say the patches look same as the ps5

Reprojection has never been an issue for me, and I can imagine wanting to inspect every retro-futuristic nook & cranny, so this is a buy for me. Cheers for the review Jammy!

They definitely need to take away the non stop aliens spawning Such a bizarre concept that takes away any sense of realism, immersion etc. also takes away all tension from they actual xenos. Thank you for the review

Wow what a genius business model. Don’t announce it’s a part one til it’s out, see how it sells. If it’s a hit, charge for a sequel or paid DLC. If sales fall short of targets, release part 2 as free or cheap DLC to boost sales. This would be very profitable if the game succeeds, ensure at least a break even if it doesn’t.

As I'm heavily prone to motion sickness caused by reprojection (completely fine in 90hz native games) I thought I was safe from it having upgraded to the PS5 Pro. I thought for sure it will get 90hz native at least on the Pro. Sadly I've already preordered the game but let's say lesson learned. Pity as it looks like I could have enjoyed the game.

I wish you could turn off the xenomorphs and just make it an exploration game. I much prefer walking around an environment and interacting with it vs constant shooting.

Bro the graphics are seriously amazing for vr , the narrative is excellent , I think it’s very clear picture - as good as I would need , reprojection don’t show at all - very happy with this game VERY

Everyone is saying it sucks/is okay. The infinite spawn rates is so bizarre. How could they think that would be fun. I’ll still try it out though. Shooting up some xenos will provide some good fun. Less than a day till I launch this one on my ps5

I played on normal, I usually am a fast reviewer in terms of playtime, but for reference BeardoBenjo also hit around the 6 hour mark. I think one of the factors is that xenomorphs just keep spawning, so even though I did explore a felt a bit rushed

I don't think scare is a factor. There are to many issues with reprojection, no pro support, visuals are meh. Still a good game despite its problems but this is a pass for me also. If reprojection issues can be solved and it gets pro enhanced I'll buy than. Subside I rather get. I rather give money to a dev that took advantage of the hardware instead of a team who didn't.

The story about garbled graphics because of "wrong settings on a console" is what will finally put the consoles in their cold graves. Why would I need a console if I need to faff with settings, like on pc? Then I might just get a pc instead.

That is a good point, however by default your console is set to ‘game default’ and 99% of users won’t have to change a thing. It’s only people who’ve messed with the settings on purpose in the past :)
