We went back to Blackpool Pleasure Beach in late March 2024 to see if the ride availability had improved since opening weekend, and ended up having a brilliant day in the amusement park thanks to low queues, good ride availability and excellent company.

Ahhh, your face on the log flume as you hit the splash!!! Brilliant!! Re Revolution, we went on it in 2022, and the scariest thing was the flipping stairs!! The whole thing felt rickety and unsafe. I think it's days are numbered!

Loved the new updates to the ghost train, I went on my own because my family is an odd number, and I was like “I DONT REMEMBER THIS FROM BEFORE” and the spirits room creeped me out, glad they’ve got more jumpscares, because they definitely work 😂

I had two ponchos on Valhalla (one worn like a nappy with the other over the top) and I took my shoes and socks off as we started. Then I was ok at the end. My daughter and I spent so much time trying to stay dryish around the ride, we didn't focus and enjoy the ride itself.

Really enjoyed this vlog. Good to see the park slowly getting up to speed after the shambles that was opening day. Looking at the state of Ice Blast, I think they should just cut their loses and moth ball it. Replace it with a Gyro or an even taller drop tower.

I just found out something about the Ghost Train. I saw a video recently of the ride during last year's Halloween event and the "new scenes" are just leftover jump scare scenes from the event but with models replacing the scare actors. Somehow, this just makes me feel like Pleasure Beach neglected the Ghost Train and didn't bother to change it back to the way it was long after the Halloween event had finished and the same goes with the River Caves.

Great vlog from BPB, my home park. Looking forward to getting back in the next week or so. Haven't done Alice in wonderland the past few trips so will try and give that a go. It's always such a slow queue though so my husband refuses.

Good to see you guys having a better day, it couldn't have been much worse than opening weekend! But Enso at £15 is far too much indeed. River Caves could do with some Wet N Forget, that stuff would soon get rid of all that green algae. Hopefully more rides / big investment will come back to the park.

Yeah, I think I found the perfect way to stay dry on Valhalla, basically you wear thin, waterproof, trousers and thin waterproof coat and make sure every single zip and button/popper, whatever you call it is done up, then you put on a waterproof motorbike over suit(a good quality one mind!) and make sure every button and Velcro strap and zip is completely done up. I tried that when I wrote Valhalla last year as it was an idea, my dad suggested, and honestly, I can’t believe how well it worked, provided every single bit was done up, I didn’t get any dampness or wet at all!😱

Absolute madness having to do all this to experience a water ride 💦 I like water rides but Valhalla is a rare case where I’m just not that into it. Too wet and not worth the effort involved to try to enjoy it.

Valhalla kit consists of shorts, t-shirt, poncho, crocs and swimwear underneath. I use my bumbag or waterproof pouch for the phone x

I always bring a full change of clothes (including underwear lol) my car has tinted windows so not to bad to get changed before my drive home. I'll always lap valhalla towards end of the day its just too good not to miss, although maybe not so much this season so far unfortunately

Enjoyed the vlog as normal. Is there any reason big one is always on one train? It’s the parks major coaster surely 2 or 3 trains absolute minimum. One train is not good operations at all in my opinion. Still saw nothing from this vlog which will make me visit this season.

It hasn’t been on 3 trains since 2001, but hasn’t been on 2 all season this year so far. That said, BPB has been dead most of the year so far, so I’ve no issue with 1 train on a quiet day but 2 should be on every time there’s more than 2k in the park.

@@peterbikesBPB’s opening hours should be flexible, and not be set months in advance. They’ve not run at full capacity yet this season on all the coasters, so not fancying a peak day visit just yet.

Can’t believe they binned Bling and got bloody sky force . That is a rubbish ride . Been waiting 10 months for my hiP operation now so really struggling. I desperately want to get out to a park somewhere, I haven’t missed trips to theme parks since 1986 the year before I passed my driving test 😢🧱👍🏽
