Thankyou a Very interesting insight into how things work over there. Must admit l just wont fish with any reels not built in Japan, well apart from my original plus 25 year old USA Penns but they are retired nowadays mostly. I agree about the quality and availability of the top end RSA surf and spinning rod's, lve been fortunate enough over the past 20 years to purchase while there and bringing them back to UK with me.

Hi David. Even though the Japanese and the american-made penns are well designed, I still find myself making modifications. But I suppose it's just personal preference. Sometimes the only availability of tackle on a global scale, is what makes it special! I'm just a fellow traveler, I think you can appreciate it. Thanks Brother 😁👌

I’ve ordered some Japanese reels via eBay and have gotten better quality for a bit less money in the US. Have really enjoyed them so far! Can’t imagine how much I’d spend if I took a trip to Japan 😃

Thx for the video. Daiwa and Shimano are Japanese companies, no major shipping cost for Japanese fishermen. The single bevel knife is related to the puuko knives. Single bevel with a hollow ground opposite side. Laterz

Immersed in the ways of the Japanese. They spend as much time going through the design specs of their kit as actually fishing...really fascinating. I went through a few fishing videos from there just to see...there are some interesting fish big ones in the tidal urban rivers....beasts even like the giant travellies ...massive bow waves coming in on the tide..

Hi Billy I'm totally inspired by your adventures & love your channel. Being fair new to sea fishing. I was wondering how do you treat a your Multipliers after a session? I'm not talking about deep cleaning or do always strip them down? I would love to see some of the preparation & general maintenance you do Kind regards Ben

Hi Ben. Rinse them under a cold tap when you finish fishing, let them dry off for a day or so. And return them for storage. I clean and oil that once a year. There's not much to it. Thanks Brother 😁👌

In Norway they just freeze fish for 24 hours, but yes the taste is way better fresh never frozen. Atlantic mackarell sushi the japanese way is awsome. Over 1/5 of norwegian comersial mackerel catch is shipes to japan according to ssb.

Hi Bå. I had my first Norwegian sashimi and sushi, last summer. Prepared by myself and some friends, absolutely delicious. Of course it was mackerel and ling. I am sure halibut is delicious as well, thanks Brother 😁👌
