My book arrived today. Very exciting. I have been anticipating the making of a healthy (lacking oils and sugars, salts) yet super tasty; I mean actually good, not have to get used to it, good, that I can serve non vegans and say, "see, you can do this" dessert book.

Ah I see, so when I made my "berry blast" cereal, I was really making milk macerated berries with cereal

I’ve only ever heard of macerating using sugar and /or salt to bring out the juice.
