I love the mornings in the garden too Linda🌱💕 Your veg looks beautiful. My zucchini’s are going crazy at the moment, and I’m struggling to keep up with them. I think I’m going to grate and freeze a lot of it as I’m nearly zucchinied out lol. Another warm day today! xx Cathi xx 😘

Hi there, your vegetables would be an absolute hit on our local farmers market, you would "sold out" within an hour. A good profit guaranteed! No hot days over here - rain, rain and more water from above - lol. But we are still ~ 0.8 meter under our usual groundwater table. Hope that you enjoy your life to the fullest 😉 -- Greets - H.

@@huttonsvalleypermaculture Ah - the neighbors - that remind me of my great- grandpa's cherry trees -- one of them was called Herrn Kassin's Kirschbaum aka Mr.Kassin's cherry tree - this tree was a giant, old, and a bit of a landmark a in the landscape-- the cherries where heart shaped and very very sweet and the color was a deep ruby red. Every year one of our neighbor Ladies approached my grandpa and reminded him: Bitte vergessen sie die Kirschen nicht! aka "Please don't forget the/my cherries, please?"

Oh exciting - cucumbers are great to grow - they come thick and fast for a bit but lend themselves well to pickling in a variety of ways so great for winter feasting in addition to the summer salads!!

I don't know if I imagine it but I think the striped zucchini actually tastes better. I also love the look of all the different veg that I didn't know existed until a few years ago. Your tomatoes look beautiful. Full baskets are such a joy. Your slaw looks great too . Thank you for sharing lovely ❤❤

Hi Lynda, thanks for a lovely harvest video. You're inspiring with the amount that you get done. Do you manage to have a job as well as looking after this massive garden? I always seem to miss the planting times for seeds. Hopefully this year I'll be on top of it a little better and can plant things when clearing the garden, as you do. If you feel like using a video title that reminds me to put seeds in, I would very much appreciate it. 😂

I know what you mean about getting seeds planted and of course it depends where you are and what climate you have. I like to think I plant a variety of seeds regularly, all through the year, but that dream has not happened as yet but it is something to aim at. I do plant a number of plants out of their usual season like snow peas and brassicas and find they often do quite well - so experiment in your area and see what works. Plant something now and you won't go wrong - then mark a day in your calendar for a few weeks time and plant another lot of plants - same or different and keep doing that year round - you'll always have something growing. That is what I'm aiming for! I quit my job as a pharmacist 4.5 years ago - no regrets - love what I'm doing now. My job is building this property and sharing it in hopes that it inspires other to do what they can for themselves in terms of growing their own food. Removing yourself from stressful environments is also important which is why I quit my job. I'm fortunate that my finances have allowed this. I'm hoping my KZbin channel will provide a small income to contribute to my ongoing expenses ( it doesn't currently!!) Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!

@@huttonsvalleypermaculture you're certainly putting in the work building a fabulous channel. I've really enjoyed watching all of your back catalogue to find out how you've set everything up. So nice to find Australian gardening channels from the east coast. KZbin doesn't make it easy to find other Aussies. FWIW, my search terms are often "Australia permaculture NSW/Sydney + interest of the moment" if that helps to get the algorithm working in your favour. I'll keep spreading the word about your channel, though. It's so great to hear your Aussie accent and learn about similar climatic conditions in the same season that I'm experiencing as the videos come out. ❤️

Mornings in the garden! Such a wonderful way to start the day! I have been enjoying your video's so much. Very inspiring to watch before heading out into my own. I had a chuckle when you snapped your carrot, I harvested mine just the other day and always seem to snap some of them. We live in the Widebay part of QLD and have had a very humid Summer which has caused some challenges. Each season brings something new though, I'm just very thankful to be eating out my garden, fresh and organic like you, such a blessing! Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden and tips/recipes.

Hi Linda, Have you posted a video showing how you make your cucumber pickle by any chance? I have them coming out my ears this year, which is great as I haven’t had any success with them for several years now, but I can’t eat or give them away quick enough and need some way to preserve them.
