Carnatic music is most scientific in the world. The BHAAVA of these raggas are amazing. These are divine. Does not ruffle your mind like what western music does. If you love peace go for Carnatic music.. Thanks for uploading these priceless gems.

Vedam from Salangai Oli, Raaga deepam from Payanangal mudivathillai and Thesulavudhe are exemplary pieces in this raga .. haunting and involkes deep emotions.. can be easily confused with Vasantha

Beautiful. Thanks. Would be even more so if the artist would slow down the bhrikas. Slower by a whole lot as to linger on each note to soak its bhava. The urge to roll out as many variations in the few minutes in order to exhibit (what?) has negative impact. Leisurely emotion, rather than rapid and drastic movements is the key to the heart. Thanks for fine music.

how to understand all these terms? how shuddha rishabha? i don't understand the grammar. in hindustani we have 12 notes but to understand raga swarup of Carnatic, we need to know all terms. i don't understand when they R2 G3 in aroha avroha. we have S and P as constants. Komal Re, Shuddh Re, komal means flat (1 semitone low), and teevra means sharp (one semitone High). so 4 ReGaDhNi are komal and Ma is teevra. 12 notes in all. how to understand Carnatic arrangement of notes and grammar?

I know I can clearly differentiate between hindustani and carnatic. And this rendition sounds like a hindustani one. I don't see carnatic style at all. I wonder why these musicians mix the styles. I don't think anyone questions them too. Pity.
@inder198520008 жыл бұрын
Do you think Carnactic should sound in such a way which is not pleasable to ears? Then you would say Bombay Jayshree and Yesudas in Hindustani style. I like Carnactic and Hindustanic music. I cant hardly bear listening to some carnactic musicians when they sing through nose.
@kumar73597 жыл бұрын
Absolutely true. The gamakas are very hindustani and even the approach is more tilted towards Hindustani with very plain notes.
@sureshpolali46167 жыл бұрын
Jyothi S madam.. Carnatic and hindustani are like two eyes both are indian classical. Let us accept these divine music with bhakthi.

The distinction between 2 styles of music is just a 200 year old development.prior to that it was all one
