I'm still watching the video Hannah but I really want to say that you did the best thing for yourself that Monday. Having all our healthy and productive habits is great but there are some days when we just need to unplug and completely relax! Without trying to be "healthy and productive" not that watching a comfort movie and eating your favorite snack is unhealthy or unproductive, on the contrary, having this balance is the best for all of us ❤ you're doing amazing Hannah and so is everyone reading this comment 💌

So funny I just created a podcast called “becoming her.” Your authenticity IS what it means to become her. To honor what you need and give others watching that permission to tune into their own intuition is amazing.

i haven't started yet. i've been so down on myself. i lost my brother last year and im just struggling to move ahead. but i do think the counseling/journaling/gratitude...all of that, improving myself as you are by trying new things, acts of kindness etc will do nothing but help me. it won't change the sadness but its a way to help work through and move ahead. i know that is what my brother would want for me. he was my very best friend big brother/little sister relationship. inconsolable.

Remember hormones are such a huge part of how us women feel 🥰 it’s taken me to get to 43 to understand how my hormones affect me and not feel like there is something wrong with me or anything wrong in my life that makes me feel awful some days, even if the day before or week before I have been feeling so good. 🤗🤗

The dry sore patches on your eyelids are most likely eczema. My sister use to put mineral oil on her eyelids when she got them.

Hi Hannah, lovely video! I experienced the same on my eyelids after using the Weleda Skinfood as my moisturiser for a few weeks, and the redness went away when I stopped using it. I think you mentioned before that you used it? Of course it may not be the cause, but I thought I’d just share my experience incase it’s helpful! :)

I came across your channel recently and have basically been binge watching all your videos, love the vibe and content! You manage to be not only motivating ad inspirational, but also totally relatable at the same time - and your videos are both calming and uplifting. Makes me want to move to the English countryside, take long walks, drink tea...🥰 (and I've never wanted a dog, but Roo is just TOO adorable, kind of making me reconsider my stance🙃)

I used to get dry sore skin on my eyelids - I found avoiding products with perfume in them helped, along with Lush's Dream Cream applied like an eye cream and applying Epaderm ointment (slathering it on at night especially!). I also went to see my GP - which I recommend if you've got ongoing things, even if they're just small seemingly minor symptoms - and after a blood test I discovered I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis which was causing lots of little niggling symptoms I had had for years, like bloating, inflammatory acne, dry skin, dry and brittle hair and nails, and even depression and anxiety. It's always worth getting an overall health check if you're feeling a bit rubbish (body and/or mind) as - I discovered - it could be something more significant but also highly treatable. I'm so much happier and healthier now, with medication and taking care with my diet and lifestyle, and no skin issues since!

Blepharitis? It isn’t anything scary, but you might want to see an eye doctor if you want that confirmed. Or it could be something you were using on your eyes/eyelids is causing skin irritation.

Hi Hannah! I love love love your videos I look forward to them every Sunday! They give such cozy and wholesome vibes❤ about the dry flaky eyelids - it is most likely eczema like everyone else is saying and I get it too! I developed mine randomly at 22 and it turns out I developed an allergy to shampoo!😮 specifically what makes shampoo sudsy like cocomidopropyl betaine. Yours could obviously be caused by something else but maybe see if there’s a correlation when you shower! My flare ups were always way worse the morning after I took a shower the previous night. Regardless I hope you figure it out sending love!!

I get the same dry spots on my eyelids! I think it’s just sensitive skin and the makeup I use. The only thing that helps me is to put some Vaseline on them every night before bed and when I wake up the dry itchy patches are gone!
@RachelGray33
@RachelGray33 Жыл бұрын
I was going to suggest Vaseline as well. It might be worth putting a tiny bit of cream first (Cream E-45 is what I use) and then lock in the moisture with Vaseline on top. My husband has really itchy and flaky eyelids and he find Cream E-45 sorts its out on its own.

The red dry patches on your eyelid could be eczema. A dermatologist can certainly help you here - sometimes it is also hormonal causes or stress.

This is three months old but a tip I learnt is always remember eggplant soaks up ALL the liquid - it's a really thirsty vegetable - so no matter which sauce - remember to have extra sauce, or when roasting/baking eggplant is to soak or dip in water (or milk will help the eggplant taste richer), or add extra oil. Salt seasoning will remove moister too, or roast the eggplant as halves or whole to maintain moisture before using it to cook.

Love, love, love the vlog!!! Such cozy vibes 🥰 Regarding your eye lids- have you started using a new skin care product back in Australia? My eye lids have all of a sudden become really sensitive in my early twenties. Since then I had to use a dedicated eye cream and have to be careful with changing other face products as well, even if I don’t directly put them in the eye area, just from “cross-contamination”. Otherwise they can become itchy, red, swollen and flakey. I have been using the vichy neovadiol eye and lip cream for years now (Bought the wrong vichy range eye cream once and that was a nono) and the mascara from la roche posey for about two years now, after my old one didn’t work anymore. Hope that helps!

What a wonderful video. Loved the idea of getting away even for a night. Your life looks so put together compared to mine having a 5 year old! I love watching your videos though as they remind me of what life was like pre children. So lovely to just get away for a night together. That Pilates space is soooo beautiful! I want one near me! Good for you for being so honest about a rest day ❤ Gluten can really affect your mental health, anxiety and low mood etc. pasta, bread, cakes etc. it’s been an absolute game changer for me! For your eyes I’d recommend laying off the creams and makeup and let your body heal 😘

The texture of your lasagna looked pretty accurate for true Italian style - especially considering it is vegan. The more saucy style is a British/American twist on the traditional. Will definitely try your recipe, thanks for sharing!! :) We all have good days and bad, great you are in a position to really keep your mental health front and centre as not everyone has that luxury sadly. Important to all do what we can and not let a bad day become a bad week. xx

You definitely did the right thing for yourself and have that break away for the night. Spending time in nature is so healing - looked amazing there and so dog friendly. I’ve not had the best of weeks, but added stress of renovating our dining room hasn’t helped. But that’s ok, I will get back on track. I think it’s important that we all learn it’s ok to step back and do what’s right for us in the moment and when better return to goals etc. Lovely vlog as always and have a great week. ❤

Girl, to me you look as good as always with no hair "done" or with the itchy eye lids 😅. And I'm a girl, AND usually very fussy when it comes to other girls' looks 😝 (I'm straight by the way, with a husband, so I know how weird it sounds!! 😂😂). I said it before- even without any makeup you look good, though I know you're quite self conscious about that. No advice on the irritating eye lids except for that it's possibly some sort of allergy that you developed ( environment changes/subconscious stress/ physical tiredness/stress (however slight or noticeable for us at conscious level) to do with travelling may trigger reactions to things that we normally had been ok with before etc)...

I enjoyed the cozy, rainy vibes! Regarding your eyelids. This happens to me, if I use a vitamin C serum. I try to keep it away from my eye area, but it just migrates there. Once I stop using it, the dry rash goes away. So, I use one container, part of the year, usually summer, and then I stop. I focus on the center of my forehead, and avoid my eyebrow area. I haven’t had a problem in a few years.
