The long bus rides in the Philippines are so nostalgic for me. Getting there can be fun with the stops and getting snacks from the local vendors. A lot more enjoyable imo than riding Greyhound in the US. I'm glad you had such a nice trip together. My Mom goes crazy for pasalubong like your Biscocho Haus haul, but for the mini hopia. It may not be the catchiest nickname, but I can see why Iloilo is called the City of Gastronomy. I have no idea what most of the things you were eating were called, but most of them looked pretty good. And though shopping malls may be dying in the US, clearly they are thriving in the Philippines.
