I’d like to visit there if I had a long stay in the Philippines. Looks like the kind of place that you need to spend a fair amount of time to really appreciate it.

I enjoyed my visits there. Definitely need to go back and spend more time. And I've also been eyeing out Islas de Gigantes which look fantastic

@@FindingParadiseI just looked them up and you’re right! A little flavor of El Nido with the Tangke Lagoon on South Gigante Island.

So there is life beyond Boracay. Coffee at Madge Cafe looked good. As far as the soup, one should consider the other Bok choy here in Guangzhou.

You'll be glad that I finished off my Boracay series! I spent a couple months there so I had a lot of video to upload. If I ever make it to Guangzhou I will check it out.

Rob, next time you visit please do a review of the Marriott. It looks nice online, but wonder if you would prefer it to the others.

You know actually I did stay at the Marriott 1 night a few years ago when that festival was on. In hindsight, I should have stayed a few nights. The hotel was full, and I spent most of the time not even at the hotel. I was checking out the festival. I'm not sure if this is still true, but next door to the Marriott there was a vacant block next door. So that night they had this party/disco. My room was facing that area. Because of the festival I couldn't change the room as the place was fully booked. My god, that music was so loud the windows were vibrating, which went on till around 4 am. I got no sleep. So you can imagine I couldn't get a good look at the hotel to make a fair assessment. I had to can the video. Just from memory as I'm writing this the room was nice and it had a good buffet breakfast. Next time I'm in town I will give it a better look at.

This is getting a lot of exposure, is it better than Cebu? What is the major differences

I've only stayed a few days, so I don't think its long enough time to make a call like that yet. I need to get back and spend longer there. But I do like it from my short visits.

Laidback feel, less chaotic, clean and green and heritage rich city.

Clean, peaceful and laidback to the point that you might find it a little boring. 😅

💯% agree. in connection Alicia's Batchoy was featured in New York Times Square and in general recently Iloilo's iconic La paz Batchoy was recognized by Tasteatlas as the Best offal soup in the World.
