Jeez Dave…..you just keep getting better and better with every video that’s coming out lately. Your editing skills have really come on leaps and bounds and your confidence in front of the camera is just amazing. I could watch your videos one after the other and wouldn’t get bored. You’ve found your place within KZbin and you truly are an asset to the detailing business. This new series is perfect for newbies to the business but also a refresher to the veterans still giving it large every day out there. Great advice, great bits of humour and just a really refreshing outlook on the job we tackle day in day out. Great work Dave….truly great work. Can’t wait to see where this series takes you and us your viewers! Well played mate. 10 out of 10 from sunny Bournemouth!

Thanks so much mate. Genuinely overwhelming seeing this. Honestly the planning in these videos is ridiculous. My next proper video is already set to be filmed for Halloween so can't wait to do another video like this. We got a barn find booked and the owner hasn't pulled it out the barn yet so who knows what will happen 😉

@@epicautomotivedetailing love a barn find….the transformations are always great to do albeit an absolute day muncher! They’re really popular videos in KZbin so will be interesting to see what kind of traffic pulls through for that one too! All the time you’re investing is definitely paying off. I’ve been keeping an eye on Vermijl car detailing and his channel has rocketed over the last year and the same will happen to you mate I have no doubt. Content is only as good as the creator. Your passion is clear and your drive to keep improving content is inspiring in itself. Keep going buddy and by the time you hit my age (a very young 41….) you’ll be lapping up the income from your channel and enjoying picking and choosing when you want to work whilst still feeding the bank account! What you mentioned about fitness , with my back issues it takes me twice as long to do things as it used to. I helped a pal out at his car washing unit , doing this ALL DAY certainly takes it out of you so all this " its only washing cars , its not hard work " is rot . Spent 4 hours cleaning a neighbours car today inside and out then added a coat of 3 CS . If this was my full time job I'd not manage to do more than 2 cars a day at that pace . Its insightful these videos , its NOT a easy job at all . For all us weekend warriors who think we could do this every day I'm pretty sure 50% of us couldn't manage it at all

Another great video Dave 👍, I can honestly say the exact same when it comes to detail valeting cars you need to be some acrobat to get in some of these modern cars. It is back break work when your hunched over vacuuming out the interior or hand polishing. I can remember when I was 12 my mate and myself used to walk round our council estate with a bucket, chamois leather, sponge and a bottle of turtle wax offering to wash and dry for£5. One school holiday we earned £35 between us so treated ourselves to a Chinese take away and got up fresh as a daisy every day.

I like how you say how it is, and you are refreshingly human and leak a bit when things are frustrating. There is a young valeter where i am and he has kids so I get him to clean the cars as he works hard, he actually loves his job and getting a good rep doing some decent I have forgiven him for using some slimy slidey shit in an old minibus I bought to carry a lightweight hot air balloon. I am a fan now so will look out for what you do. To be honest i am gagging to snow foam something like one of my balloon trailers, probably get an AVA as my Aldi piece of nonsense broke in a year. If you ever near a Balloon Festival ask for JD and I will try and get you up or at least get your family up close to a Hot Air Balloon.

Your saying you felt it at age 35. As soon as I hit 40, i feel cold everywhere. I've been working out since I was 18, and always have been hot blooded so walking around in a t-shirt was a norm but now... OMG! it's cold everywhere! even with the heater on. Great video's 👍

I used to do this in my 20s. I worked for a car dealer that purchased a mobile valeting business, but he was a stingy fucker, got autosmart remade by a cheaper chemical company. Then i went a bit further on to a friend of his and did more detail based stuff and up keeping classic cars that are wwre for sale . Was all good fun but i was very underpaid. Watching you has have me inspiration i could always fall back on it and set up myself. from painting and decorating. If or when ive really had enough

Try starting out at 55 Dave. I love cars, but for 39 years I have been a high school Industrial arts/D&T teacher. I am working weekends and holidays on my detailing business, e.g. this weekend is 2 Mercs; an S500 and an E250, for maintenance washes. Just threw wheels takes me as little over an hour, and Thai’s is after the interior clean and ozone treatment. I fell for you and currently I am due a second spinal surgery and shoulder reconstruction. Why? Because my GP says at my age getting off the loo can teat at tendon!!! THE BOTTOM LINE: I’VE LOVED TEACHING - STILL DO, BUT I ALSO LOVE DETAILING CARS. I Amy even try selling them in retirement! Keep up the great work. Lloyd

Hi Dave, been watching your video's for a while now, there brilliant I must say 😀👏🏼 Just one bit of advice though please.. snowfoaming a convertible roof?.. I thought this was a no go?.. Maybe a video of convertible car cleaning dedicating to the roof cleaning process please?..
@epicautomotivedetailing2 жыл бұрын
It's not going to do any harm. Your be surprised how little pressure comes out of wilder nozzles. In the mini manual book they actually advise against Washing your car with pressure washer. That's (not ) the convertibles as well 😬 which is amazing.

The other day i was at a little hotel in the lakes. It was destined for rain. I couldn't put my gazebo up because I would block the car park, so I cracked on. After putting my equipment away 3 or 4 times due to rain, i managed to get the car dry. About to wax it.. you guessed it. Rain. What should have took me 3, took me 5. Great video as always, always valuable information given out

Also to combat the no dinner thing.. I decided to make a quick snack which helps a lot. Protein energy balls.. life saver. Takes 30 seconds to throw one in your mouth and carry on. Also some Hydration formula in a bottle.

One question though. How can you make a car look better than it does because the cars I do have swirl marks. How can I make the car look better with them

If only you could see where I started mate. It's been so tough. Yes my van is shabby but I already have the clients I want so no need to impress anyone. My kids get my money. Every penny. As for the cars go for polishes as an upsell. Or try a rebranding strategy to get more VIP clients it worked for me but then again Living south of London helped
