15 years can pass in the blink of an eye as you get older but thankfully the memories are still there. All your video's are great, heck I'd watch just for the scenery. As for my most priceless treasure, it's a 56 year old wool blanket that my mom knitted for me while she was pregnant. Both of my children have used it and the first one that has a child gets it. But until then it's still mine :)

I enjoy the interludes with your good looking wife she is a keeper mate. She must have half mountain goat in her. Hope she can't fight. Another grand entrance I see Levi. I think upstream is the way to go on that river. Once you get those long calm pools it is hard for the gold to travel. Under those small waterfalls should be good. It may be well under the ledges in the calmer waters.
@officialtassieboysprospecting4 жыл бұрын
Yes your right under those falls it normally would be unfortunately a lot of the bedrock is flat and the gold still washes down further and i definitely think there’d be good gold in those calmer deeper pools but as soon as you start you lose visibility without the water flowing through need a pump of some sort to blow water through them 😁

That was lovely seeing the hike up to Meander Falls - a good look at the views appreciated. Do you think the river might have been well-prospected before? Meybes you need an even longer nozzle (or hands) to get into those deep crevices? Looking forward to the Wider Adventures, too, is different down there, I love the white rocks around Pedar is that quartz? If you know anything about the wider environment or the geology, Levi, I for one would be interested to hear about it! Happy hunting. 👍😎

I tried to send you in full description on how to build one and I’m not sure how to send you a picture on how to build that high production Jet Tube it is very simple made out of all PVC plastic parts I got from Home Depot. If you want to build one it’s not that hard, they do have some that are similar I’ve seen them in gold prospecting magazines there just a small dredge that floats on a inner tube that has a 12” wide sluice with a 2hp gas motor that runs the pump into the jet tube. The nice thing about a set up like this for you would enable you to get into those deeper holes. I’ve always built all of mine own mining equipment I’ve always been talented in that area for building things! You might be able to pick up a set up like that for 500.00 or more.

I have an old book from 1803 called Vitalogy which is a manual for being a doctor in the ol one horse towns. Has a bunch of personal notes and prescriptions the doctor had wrote on scraps of paper. It also has dried samples of the medicinal herbs and plants referenced in the book. But the most intriguing part is the section that covers gunshot wounds and treatment. It’s on the front of one page and on the next page as well, it has bloody thumb and finger prints on the corner on the page and splatter on the second page. It is so weird how some cracks only have 1 piece of gold. That has happened to me. At other times a 4 foot long crack has on 5” pocket section with 1.25 grams of gold but nothing in the rest of it. It often makes no sense! Anyway some gold is better than no gold! Did you hunt any crevices just after the water falling areas? Some of my biggest gold has come about 6 ft after a small rapid in the river. Happy hunting!
@officialtassieboysprospecting4 жыл бұрын
Della Peterson hey Della it’s funny where you find it sometimes even in a good sized crevice it all congregates together rather than spread out usually. I will be heading back to those small falls sometime a lot of the bedrock beneath is just flat and it gets blown further down
