when you are a social media manager, you have this app like a time tracker? I, wonder if you are able to make your entire plan for the week, within a day or two, what will happen with the following days?

I have a simple digital daily to do list. I can adjust it each day if something changes.

How's it like to get clients as a freelance in NZ? I'm moving back to NZ in a couple of months, I work as a freelance but I'm not sure if I should work freelance or at an agency. Any suggestions?

Heaps of work here! I also have a handful of overseas clients, mostly American just because I find it easier to grow their accounts and they're willing to pay more. They provide pictures/video and I edit and create captions, manage account etc. No need to be limited by location 😊

Do you mainly work with just instagram or do you also use Facebook/LinkedIn/Twitter for your clients? How do you navigate all of those? Also, how do you come up with copy for each company since you may not know all of the ends and outs of their business? Do they help you with info you can share or promotional things? THANK YOU!!

Choose a speciality, dont try manage it all! I do Instagram managment with auto sharing to facebook. Then I have 2 clients who jsut want FB 🥰

Talk to your clients, send them a Q&A or have a zoom call to understand their business. Look at their website copy or social media posts they've already done to understand the basics if their business - then improve it!

Why it's so important for Social Media Manager to express themselves in this way? Like Like Like (I like, it's like, everything like that, really cool like goal planning and keep track of all of your like website stats, like a small proposal, I like to make sure I get like most of my important like must do things done … My levels like really slump, I like just take time off, around like 5 o’clock, one like quiz like a team play that I just changed like photos, I did LIKE a cool LIKE sale thing and then this is gonna LIKE slowly LIKE add each. ...) 1 sentence, 7x LIKE - WHY are you using LIKE so often (nonstop)?

it seems that English isn’t your first language, so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt about your rude comment here. this is why someone might say “like” a lot: 1. sometimes it acts as a placeholder while speaking, similar to “um” or “ah”. it’s a way of indicating that you haven’t finished speaking while giving yourself time to think. 2. using “like” can help to soften your speech and make you seem more open. saying “it’s like” rather than “it is” gives more room for other interpretations. “like” is a useful term, and someone using it a lot typically just means they are a quick, friendly conversationalist. there’s nothing morally wrong or less intelligent about a person using “like” a lot in their speech.

Nah this is one of the hardest job out there lol. Might seem easy to an outsider but the amount of efforts you need to put here is tiring yet enjoyable. Also, you require a lot practice and have to go through several trials and errors to find out what works best for a particular social media account.

Not the easiest job. I do the paid side of social media as a previous strategist and now a full-time freelancer and it takes a very analytical mindset and loads of research on strategies and your audiences and then making sure it doesn’t underdeliver or overdeliver your budget. I am constantly making changes to campaigns, copy and landing pages. And then I also do the creative content creation side for my own brand and that is also time-consuming, you have to be very detail oriented, open minded and organized to be good at what you’re doing. Bringing in results is not an easy job, in all.
