PSA for freelancers: take a day off no matter what and do something that makes you feel renewed and happy. Then every quarter,3-4 months take a few days off. Even if you are broke and barely stringing a living together. Building a life you can be proud of is a decades long endeavor, you need the time off to refuel your mind and find other creative inputs. I learned this the hard way and won’t bore you with the details and guilt about having free time. But for the love of self take a day off every week. It’s funny how problems unravel when you give them space to percolate.

Wow! Thanks for being honest about art block. When the video first started I was like wow… she just goes and does everything she sets her mind to and makes so much art (which you do) but I was feeling bad cause art block is real for me and so heartbreaking. But hearing you talk about it and try anyways was so inspiring for me. Feelings are like the weather- always changing, and uncontrollable. But you showed me that I can still play, even in the rain! Thank you for sharing, I was sorry to hear about your burnout moments, your Patreon does seem like massive work, so good luck for work or finding maybe kinder tiers to yourself? :) I would like to ask if you could please share the sketchbook and pencil you use? Do you fix your drawings afterward with a spray so they don't smudge? I avoid pencils a lot because of the smudge but I love the texture and the thicker black tone of yours... Anyway, thanks in advance, cheers and my best wishes!

Thank you :) The sketch book I'm using was from Ryman, and the pencil is a Faber Castel 3B pencil. They're my favourites! And I sometimes fix my drawing just with hair spray, but most of the time I just put sheets of paper between my pages. They smudge a little but it doesn't really bother me
