As a 10s representative, answering your questions. When you are asking for Custom Shop guitar from us, we are NOT giving special attention to details, which is fare, because you will be paying ONLY for unique look and parts. Same level of attention goes to regular line or customized guitars. Client is not paying for additional labor cost/time or something. When you order guitar like this, take away the 7-piece neck, SS frets, Luminlay side dots, 5A Burl top, custom pickups, top of the line Gotoh tuners, GraphTech nut, and it will be twice cheaper...you are paying extra for components, wood, not for special treatment. We have player-guitars, not to hang it on the wall and wipe the dust of it. Imperfections, yes, we do have those. Your guitar will look pretty, play well and will sound great. About truss-rod adjustment, I can guarantee, that every guitar will go through setup, before it will leave the factory. When you are buying our guitar it goes through crazy humidity/temperature changes before it will appear at your door. Truss-rod adjustments are ABSOLUTELY must. Changing strings right after also must do. We are not using Ernie Ball or Daddario's. Set it up, and enjoy. For such level of components, 1299$, fare price, fare critics...love you all! Hope this message will clarify some things.

My 10S custom GF arrived about a week ago. Sadly, mine arrived with a cracked ebony fingerboard and some raised frets. Fortunately, 10S paid for a local guitar shop to remove the frets, repair the cracks, reseat the frets evenly, and polish and crown the frets. They did a great job bringing my idea to life. Mine features a 24 fret ebony fretboard. The body is one piece mahogany body. I had them use a black satin finish, black hardware, black pickups, black EVERYTHING! And white binding. It is truly blacker than black. Also I had some paint imperfections otherwise the guitar is awesome!

NiYour Ziricote pronunciation is correct. We use Ziricote for fretboards, but also inlay, pick guards, pickup covers and rings, tuner keys, switch tips, knobs, body cavity and truss rod covers, book matched body tops (never a veneer, 3/16" min. thickness), and occasionally binding. We generally don't trezt it as a top tier cost material, it really depends on how beautiful the figuring is and the size and/or 3 difficulty of the application. If you're still in the market for tuner keys, we do offer all the standard shapes, or pretty much any custom shape a customer desires, in almost every kind of wood on the market anywhere ( though we are striving to source more and more of our materials from suppliers who utilize sustainable practices). It’s funny how many people are complaining about it being from a custom shop and having imperfections. For those specs $1300 is absolutely a fair price. You get what you pay for. It’s a nice $300 guitar totally decked out on specs. If PRS did something like that it would be perfect cosmetically, but would cost $15,000. Seems like an amazing deal to me. As far as that particular guitar, not my thing looks wise. Spec wise, man, what a guitar. Love everything about it (cept the 7 string part...I’m old and don’t djent lol). You’re a lucky young man, Hunter.

I actually love the pickups! They sound nasty with the overdrive knob turned up and sound articulate when clean. The fit and finish does bother me for $1200. Other large guitar makers build affordable guitars that cost half the price, and a lot of them offer big time pickup and in general spec options. It is beautiful though, and I like the sound a lot.

my 10s custom is sitting next to me right now. Its perfectly comparable to all the YT reviews ive seen. There are some minor visual imperfections and shortcomings, but the build quality is phenomenal and it perfectly matches the spec I provided. Its the first guitar i've ever been truly happy with and it was $450 to my door and got to me in less than a month from the day I ordered it, even though the spec was 100% custom. The fret work was also a particular point of amazement.... i've played plenty of USA custom shop guitars, the fret dressing on this was as nice as anything i've ever played. Even with pickups and a nut upgrade(i didn't ask them to upgrade those) I'll be totally squared away with a unique guitar I love for about $600. Can't recommend it strongly enough

I think at $1300, given it had a bad truss rod originally and now still has numerous flaws, I would argue for the price Ibanez, Schecter or ESP all offer axes with even better specs/quality. Lets see if your opinion changes with time and the shiny new toy syndrome wears off. It's nice, but not $1300 nice. 🎶🎸

This Guitar looks as if they took an Epiphone Les Paul Custom Blackback and just DESTROYED THE FINISH.....besides for the BLACKBACK.....IT EVEN HAS THE SAME EXACT PICKUPS AS THE EPI CUSTOM BLACKBACK AND SAME SHADE AS THE VINTAGE WHITE ON FRONT!!! My money is on the 10's being Epi Factory 2nd 's and LTD 2nd's as well!!!

@@agufish Yes, correct video. A friend sent me your link. Its during the time your commenting on the Chinese guitar quality from really bad to really good. Its after the Slash Firebird...or Thunderbird...in that area. There's a picture shown of a LP Type Guitar that has a Black Backside and the front looks like an extremely scratched up Black LP OR WHITE. What caught my eyes were the Pickups on the all beat up Black/White LP TYPE. Same exact Pickups that are on the "Tuxedo" Epiphone Custom Blackback. The bottom horn on the LP STYLE 6not rounded....more Pointed like a LTD LP STYLE. So, yes....right video. Not that it matters, I'm 56 years old...been playing since I was 5, started in the MI Sales over 25 years ago. Like I said, doesn't matter, I just happen to have an extremely sharp eye and pick up on a lot of small details some people may not notice, picked up on or just haven't realized yet. I'm, IN NO WAY trying to insult you, your intelligence or anything. Just stating my opinion about what I NOTICE. I see what you mean now, since I thought you were commenting on the main guitar in this video with the 7-string ebony-covered pickups and blue Burl top, which is unlike anything Epi makes. Although, I do feel obligated to point it that the Epi has a rosewood fingerboard, whereas the 10S GF Relic has ebony. The 10S also has real mother of pearl inlays, something that no Epi comes with. Also add that the Epi factory is in a completely different part of China to the 10S workshop. Inspired by, definitely. Epi factory 2nds, highly unlikely

@@agufish That's why my friend sent me your link. I had just sent him YOUR LINK to the Agile ...........hmmmm3200MCC......the Blackburst with the Floyd!!! I have never heard of the 10's Guitars before. I actually, have been looking at OLDER Gibson Les Paul Tributes...PRE 2018's since Gibson TOTALLY messed them up for the 2019 models. The Agile, more than likely, will be my next Guitar. Who knows......maybe Rhondo is making the 10's since they too are using REAL Abalone on the Agiles. Kurt at Rhondo and I have been talking over the last few weeks. I'm asking for and he's checking to see if he can do, somewhat, of a Custom 3100 for me. I've got to get back in touch with him, after the 1st of the year when all the madness at Rhondo has settled down. Hopefully, he'll have some good news for me!! Personally, I've never totally been in to Big Brand Name Guitars, even though I do have a Customshop Strat and I've always wanted to own a REAL Les Paul.....things to pass down to my Grandson should he decide he wants to play when he's a lot older!!!...he's only 6 months old now....lol... Should something happen to me before he gets older, the good stuff will go to my son, then to my Grandson. I've already given my daughter my 1986 Kramer Pacer Custom I and she'll get my 6 string Acoustic. I'm building a really nice Telecaster, with a Bigsby, for my Granddaughter and she'll also get my 1st Acoustic I ever owned. Basically, I'm setting my Grankids up to be Musicians with great gear!!! My daughter teaches children who are Deaf and on the Autism Spectrum, my Son works with the Department of Defense doing who knows what...he can't tell me. My kids are set for life.
