The Revd Lucy Winkett is Rector of St James’s Piccadilly, and a writer, musician and broadcaster who is a regular contributor to Radio 4’s Thought for the Day. Her latest book is 'Reading the Bible with Your Feet'.
Dr Paula Gooder is Canon Chancellor of St Paul’s Cathedral and a leading Biblical Scholar and writer. Her latest book is 'Lydia: A Story', following on from her best-selling 'Phoebe'.

Thank you for your helpful words and ideas in this presentation. With all the distractions that surround us this year we need your help to get us to Christmas proper and then on into the New Year (When the Shepherds arrive) and we seek afresh God's blessing as we move forward in light and peace... and onto the Epiphany

Thank you so much, both of you, for just helping to rekindle my enthusiasm and anticipation of Christmas - after all my working life as a parish priest, and now some years into retirement, it's so easy to lose sight of the central core of the season. I'm not preaching over Christmas, but there's lots of stuff there to latch onto in the ensuing months. Thanks!
