A reflective mindset is indeed a key to having a more meaningful life, as it engenders the ability to view one’s past, present and future through an objective ‘frame’. Longer life, stronger fulfillment and long-lasting relationships are inevitable outcomes, for a reflective mindset is also key to developing a growth mindset, which allows us to better ourselves with time.

I know that Christians, by and large don't always exemplify this, but this talk might as well have come straight from the lips of Jesus. Neuroscience and current psychology continue to reinforce that a harsh, individualistic, deconstructionist materialism simply cannot form healthy resilient individuals or flourishing societies. Jesus said, be formed (take my teaching upon you for it is a light burden), bond deeply (love one another as I have loved you, love your enemies, etc) and serve (it is more blessed to give than to receive). He was right about the way to flourish in life.
