Went there last winter and did all 9 public baths. What an experience.

We didn't get to do the public paths (my partner has a full body suit of tattoos lol) but I'm glad to hear you experienced them all :)

The building you passed with the onsen baths on the hike up to the Monkey Park is a Ryokan that you can stay at and actually bathe with the monkeys.

Yes!! Would’ve also been a great experience but we wanted to stay closer to town :)

Those monkeys look like daruma dolls 🥹 (so cute!!!) Are they there all year round?

The baby ones had me screaming 🥺 and yes they are! But I highly recommend going in snow season, way more magical than trudging through mud

Hi the Ryokan looks awesome, could you please let me know the name of the Ryokan in Shibu Onsen? Thanks.

Hello 😊love your video, thank you. I was just wondering if you could share how much it cost to stay for the weekend please. I’m super excited to visit👏

Our ryokan was on the nicer side and cost about $400/day? Including food and room and bath access

What was the name of the Ryokan you stayed at? We are heading there next week.

Kokuya! It's one of the biggest and oldest ryokans in town :)

Hi! I will be in Shibu Onsen in February. Mostly to snowboard. How is transportation like around the area? Im a bit nervous having to haul our snowboards around. Any tips would be so appreciated!
@WesleyAnna5 күн бұрын
It's very remote and transportation can be difficult unscheduled (there's specific shuttle busses that run infrequently and a train outside of town). If you're planning on walking places or taking cabs, you'll have a tough time.

I understand they have high standards for hygiene, for example no tattoos. Was that a problem when visiting public onsens?
