I'm a stroke survivor, suffered a hemorrhagic stroke last Sept 2021. In ICU for a week, in hospital for 3 weeks. Now it's been 9 months & still recovering. Right side had gone, but my physiotherapist was able to 'fix' me, now I can walk without any aid, able to use my right hand. Down to once a week of physiotherapy sessions from thrice a week. Speech had been affected, can speak except for a little stammer once in a while. Am forever grateful to God for healing.

Dad had a massive ischemic stroke. about 3 days in ICU, had no opportunity for trombolisis due to high blood pressure(was about 240/150 in first hours). After 5 days CT showed 2/3 right hemisphere damaged. Left side was paralized(arm, leg), speach was affected significantly. 2 weeks in a hospital, then 2 weeks in covid center(bad luck) and after a bit more then 1 month he finally started his recovery in reabilitation center. Left side still paralized but he can feel it fully, speach almost restored. Looking forward to seeing him standing and using his left arm

@@nadasaid7841 i don't know much and unfortunately personel don't provide us such information in details. Our phisiotherapist once said, that is good that he fully regained sensation in his arm/leg. that means he can restor motoric functionality as well.. hope its true.

@mclovin873910 ай бұрын
The side effects of medication and the after effects of the strokes can be extremely uncomfortable and even painful, but don't give up. It's important to do everything you can to help yourself. Do what you can to keep stress to a minimum, even if it means stop watching the news, arguing with a friend or loved one, just let it all go, get rid of everything that makes you feel negative. Dialy breathing exercises to help with self-control, self-awareness, and reducing anxiety, do some basic meditation as you're doing the breathing, it only takes a few minutes but can have a huge impact on your mental and physical health. KZbin has plenty to offer, but keep it simple. Consider changing your diet. If you're hard-core enough, just go all out Mediterranean diet for several weeks, no alcohol, no junk food, no sugar. It sounds like hard work and it is but if your determined to recover and reduce the chances of it happening again then you'll do whatever it takes. The diet will help heal your mind and body, greatly reduce the chances of depression setting in, and help you focus on today and tomorrow instead of yesterday . However you approach this don't let it defeat you. Life if different now, it's down to you how you want it to be.
