I am more familiar with Hilton Head and similar beach scenes in the Carolinas - sea grass, sand gates, and blue water. My heart breaks with what is going on in Florida and now heading to the South Carolina shores. We have relatives in Sarasota and Jacksonville and friends in Charlotte, NC. My thoughts and prayers are with all. 😢🙏

All colors are exquisite... but, Since the beginning of My time, Blue has always been My Favorite color! For the very reasons stated here, they represent the colors of the Sky and the Sea! Scrumptious, Loved the drive... I could feel the Wind and the Sunshine on my face, the cry of the Seagull, and the sand beneath my feet... Is this in Wilmington?

I deeply envy families whose history connects to places along New England's coast. (I wilt in moist weather). Of course, it's a checkered history, but where is that not true? I will ever regret the turn of fate that had me born elsewhere. Today, Nantucket exists out of reach for the majority. I'd go back in time to live as a widows housekeeper (no lecherous hubby around) if that were physically possible.

The fabric is a duvet cover that came from Pottery Barn. The print is called "Athena" and was based on an old, embroidered fabric by Brunschwig and Fils.

I could barely get thru this particular book review because I to grew up on the beach in the summer time & the beach definitely gets in your blood but my daughter just passed away & I can barely function
