One of the best overviews I've seen of an AZUB Ti-FLY 20"! I especially liked the humor injected, e.g. Claude's Greenspeed Magnum not playing with the rolling away. :D I have a TRIcon 20" which I love. The Ti-FLY 20" will be my next trike for sure. Thanks for sharing!

That was a very nice review. I liked the 20" wheel at the rear. Should go into a car easier than a 26". I am waiting for my Scorpion fs 26 with the Shimano Steps to arrive this spring but I wont be doing long trips like you do. I am too old for that. My trip of a lifetime was when I hitch hiked from Malaysia to Finland in 1970. We did not have such luxuries like trikes those days.

Many thanks for the great review! Great you have now got your hub sorted and hopefully will be back on the road soon. I'm seriously looking at the azub and hp as a long distance travel trike. Unfortunately no where in the uk stock both to have a back to back ride for a comparison. Both superb machines, I'll probably end up tossing a coin! Thanks again for taking the time for the review, much appreciated . Looking forward to seeing where the road takes you. Stay safe and keep pedaling 😊🖒🐶

@@petervick4775 Many thanks for the reply. There are many minor pluses and minuses between the main trike manufacturers. Very hard to decide which one to go for, but great to see other people doing what I would love too and there experience after many miles. I'll keep researching and saving up😊🖒🐶

TRY AZUB TRICON !! FOR TRAVELING IT COMES WITH COMMON SENSE ...IT FOLDS ! NOT IN ONE WAY BUT CAN BE FOLDED IN TWO DIFFERENT WAYS , ONE OF THEM ALLOWING YOUR TRIKE BUNDLE TO TAKE UP LESS ROOM IN CAR .

With that amount of weight on the rack do you have any suspension left or does it bottom out. Cheers from Mandurah Western Australia.

I like your front suspension. which is similar to that on Steintrikes and Veloks. Are there any downsides to this? Ie, do you ever get clothing caught in it or anything else? What is the length of movement you get? Can you get a twig which could damage the system?

Good day mate, thanks for the comparison great review but I must say that I own three Green speed trikes one being a magnum 2015 model the other being a green speed GT3 series 2 and the latest being a 2001 green speed Aero and all of them came with Parking brakes Standard, I don’t understand why that greens speed didn’t come with packing Breaks.

At 13:27 - About seat positions: The problem is when you want to tilt the seat to a more upright profile the lower part of the seat drops downward causing the rider to slip downward.. The seat is on a rigid one piece seat frame, whereas the HP has 2 piece seat, like an automobile. You can pitch the back separately from the seat. The Azub pitches the entire seat. To eliminate this, HP allows you to set the pitch of the seat back and the seat itself - separately. The problem with a seat which can pivot is the seat frame is the structure for the racks (also side rack) and the seat base must be solidly secured to the trike frame. Which means the pivot settings must be secured (locked down) to the new position.

That's a high L capacity.. do you ever wish you carried a lot less? Also why did you chose a trike vs regular bike or recumbent for world travel?
@EveryWhichWayButLost
@EveryWhichWayButLost 3 жыл бұрын
I probably carry to many clothes, but other than that I'm happy with the load. My rack pack is never full so could carry 10 more litres easily but don't need more!! The trike evolved from the original bike my partner and I started on in 2015, a recumbent tandem. After 6500km realised it wasn't going to get us around the world and after lots of research decided on trikes. We really love the comfort and I suppose the uniqueness

Hi Darren, glad I found you through JaYoe Nation and can like your channel now :-) I had Azub Max 26" for a few years, now I have Azub Mini 20" for a few years and thinking of moving to Azub Trike = Ti-Fly. Can't decide though between 20" or 26" wheel versions. I like the 26" comfort ride more (eliminates small bumps), but also like the smaller/practical version of 20" wheels. Any reason you picked 20" vs other size, and how would you compare yours to a ride on 26" wheel trike (if possible), please? many thanks and stay safe ;-)

Hi, I went for the 20 all around so it's easier with tubes and tyres on a long tour. Plus the 20 inch rear wheel for me feels stronger and less flex

@@TC-yx1qt I actually have ridden both 26 Ti-Fly and 20 Ti-Fly couple years ago, and I agree to what Darren posted above. The 20" felt much less flex, and 26"is just a beast (size-wise overall), did not feel nimble unfortunately. The ground clearance difference was actually minimal between 26 vs 20, if there is no derailleur on the end 20" would be the way I would still go.

@EveryWhichWayButLost

Not really as I would have to carry two different sized inner tubes. Also in my opinion there is less strength in the bigger wheel laterally when cornering.

My question is always the same to every recumbent rider I meet, "if you are capable of riding a bike, why put up with all the limitations of a trike?" Sure, if you're riding in mud, sand, snow, or soft gravel _the majority of the time_ they make sense. If you're riding on smooth hard surfaces _the majority of time_ they have more limitations than any possible conveinance. I get it for riders who can't safely ride a bike anymore for whatever reason. The best part of bike riding is the feeling of leaning, cornering, riding *your* perfect line, something you don't get on more than two wheels. Trike motorcycles are just as lame when comparing the ride.

I understand your viewpoint. For me it was a matter of something novel and having a stable platform for touring around the world . Yes it has its downs, but I have swooped down many a mountain pass, leaning my body around the trike to keep centrifugal forces at bay. I can also cycle through areas of city at walking pace and slower in big crowds without having to get off and push my bike through the crowds. I thoroughly enjoyed riding the trike. Especially the comfort. After a long day in the saddle I could get up and walk around without a sore butt, wrists, back or neck. Best wishes in cycling. Whichever form that may takr
