😂 I know. RE probably came up with the ECO mode just for me and then I go and ignore it. I feel deeply ashamed James ! I probably wouldn't have bought the new tyres if they hadn't paid me for the Suzuki. As it was, it seemed like a no-brainer. Without that money burning a hole in my pocket I would almost certainly have been too tight not to wear out the CEATs first ! Found out today that the RE dealer is going to buy my Malaguti scooter too. That money will come in handy for a nice pair of RE bar end mirrors, the final accessory needed to make Attila perfect ! But after that James, it's back to being economical, I promise. Not sure I'll be using that ECO mode too often though ! 👹 Cheers James ! Keep spoiling that Mrs A ! Maybe take her for a day out to a KTM dealership while you still can ? 😛 Garry & Ruby

Hi John. Thank you 😊 Yes, I'm very happy with how the bike turned out. The colour looks better in daylight than it did in the shop and the accessories have all done their part to make the bike look just a little bit more special. I've decided that I will be getting the RE bar end mirrors because the OEM mirrors are pretty bad. I can't set them to get a decent view and I know that the RE bar end mirrors are brilliant, because I have them on Buddy. So yes, I think the bar end mirrors will be ordered soon. But after that Attila should be perfect ! Love to you both, stay warm and have a great Christmas, Garry & Ruby

Hi Quenten, thanks mate, much appreciated ! Yes, really loving Attila so far and very happy with how he looks with all of his bits and pieces fitted. The only thing I might add at some point are some RE bar end mirrors because it is hard to get a decent rear view with the stock mirrors, however you set them. I forgot to mention that in this vlog. But no biggie. I would have probably wanted the bar end mirrors anyway, even just for aesthetic reasons. I'm sure they'll be added before too long ! I agree. He makes some nice noises. I will be interested to hear how he sounds in a full chat ride by ! That video will definitely be coming, once he is properly run in ! Cheers Quent, Garry & Ruby

Attila the Guerrilla..... oh hun! (Here all week!) Looks great from the front especially low down... and in the next video, I'll be standing up to carry on the review! That is one great looking bike. Sounds good too. I'd have liked a more traditional seat but that's just my preference. All the best for Christmas and a Happy new year!
@economicalrides25 минут бұрын
Thanks Kevin. My viewers all seem to share my excellent taste 😊. Of course the Guerrilla isn't very retro, which is what most people expect of an RE, but once you get beyond that, as a sort of lightweight street fighter, I think they did a great job with the styling. This motor should really suit this type of bike, much better than it suits a bike like the new Himalayan IMO. The chassis feels so well sorted, I am sure that it can carry a lot of speed and lean angle without tying itself in knots. If it manages that, then it really will be like a mini Street Triple, which would be a wonderful thing. I think the Street Triple was just a bit too fast for these roads, it had tons of power. This 450 could prove to be the sweet spot for riding around here in an enthusiastic fashion, I reckon 🤞 I'm glad you like Attila and it will be fun getting to know him better in the coming months. I shall keep you abreast of everything, the good and the bad ( although not expecting much "bad" to be honest ! ). Have a great Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year too Kevin. All the best from Spain ! Garry & Ruby ❤🐕

You chose very well, Garry. I think that all of the Guerrilla variants are attractive in different ways (one of them looks a bit slatternly, which is still appealing!), but the Cloud Silver is the only one that looks genuinely Classy. Perfect, really. Thank you for the video, and Merry Christmas to you and Ruby!
@economicalrides2 сағат бұрын
Thanks mate. Yes, it was a good punt by the dealer to get a silver base model in. The first time I tested their demo Guerrilla I said that the only one I would consider buying was the silver one. I thought that it would look smart in the metal and also I wouldn't have to have that TFT dash. Next time I walk in there, there is a Cloud Silver one parked next to the demo bike ! They obviously knew that my willpower would weaken but in reality it really did help, because I got to see this colour in real life before deciding. Not sure I would have bought it blind. But once you get it out into natural light, I think it looks even better. As you say, classy and understated. Perfect for me 😇 Slatternly ! Great word ! One I haven't heard for a while ! 😂 I think I know which version you are referring to 😛 I used the term "tart's handbag" to describe it. Not very woke, I know, but I'm old, deal with it 😛 Cheers mate, have a great Christmas. I'll get 500km on Attila before the New Year for sure. I am up to 160 already and only have another 220 to go before I have to take him to Almeria. On January 2nd I will most likely be banging the dealers door down for the first service, if the weather is reasonable ! Garry & Ruby

Well done Gary! Looking good! Glad you didn't bin the Ceat tyres, they really are a first class tyre, had absolutely no issues with mine even on dubious road surfaces of which we have plenty here in Somerset 😁Enjoy your Guerrilla! All the best, Phil (UK) 👍
@economicalrides13 сағат бұрын
Hi Phil ! Well I'm "economical". No way would I bin tyres that I've paid for or donate them to the dealer ! There might well come a time when I can't afford expensive tyres, so worth having the CEATs there should I ever need them. I'm sure that they are fine, they have been on all of my other bikes, but just about everyone prefers their new tyres, once they've worn down their OEM CEATs. Other better known brands of tyre are probably "slightly" better in certain areas but the CEATs are a decent all-round tyre, not a problem and certainly don't need changing until they're worn or too old. I had the Suzuki money burning a hole in my pocket, so decided to change the tyres straight away. Without that money I would have probably ridden the CEATs until they needed replacing, as I usually do, no problem. Cheers Phil. I am happy to be in the Guerrilla gang at last ! Looking forward to getting the first service done at the beginning of the year and then having six whole months to really get to grips with the bike ! Happy Christmas etc. Garry & Ruby

@@economicalrides If they're taking up too much room in your garage, Gary, you can always send them over to me ........ for Christmas ☺😁 I've had quite a few bikes over the years but I'm so impressed with the handling of this Guerrilla that I will look to refit the same Ceats when these wear out. I'm sure that most of the good handling is down to the good geometry of the chassis and good 'springs', it's hard to know. A few years ago, I had a brand new Super Tenere 1200 with factory fitted slightly knobbly tyres and it handled like an absolute dream, loved it! When those tyres wore out I was talked into replacing them with a more expensive brand and more road biased set ........ absolute disaster!!!! The moral of the story in my case, is, if it aint broke, don't fix it! I will say though that the Ceat tyres on my Hunter 350 did tend to tram line a bit on groovy roads but the tyres on the Guerrilla don't do that at all, very sure footed. Anyway Gary, congratulations and welcome to the Guerrilla club! 😊 All the best, Phil

@@PAGallagher Well I can certainly recommend the RoadTecs Phil, you can't go wrong with them. The ride feels smoother and slightly more plush. They could even turn out to be easier to get hold of than the CEATs, when the time comes, who knows ? I'll let you know if I need a new home for my OEM tyres Phil, you can have first refusal 😛 You were dead right about being able to ride in a relaxed manner on this bike. My bike feels great at up to 50 mph, not noticing any vibrations AT ALL. It's just purring along with tons of power still in reserve. My bike seems to have less of a tendency to lug than the demo bike I tried, so I think I've got a good one ! Cheers Phil, Garry & Ruby

Hi Dave ! Thanks mate. Glad you like the new bike. As much as I am tempted to ride Attila every day at the moment, I am having to be strict with myself. Once I hit 380 km he needs to go for his first service. I'm at 170km already, so only have 210k left before I have to head off for Almería. Since I want to be able to ride him between Xmas and New Year, when I should have a few days off, I'm banned from riding him this week 😂 Fortunately all three bikes have a pretty distinct purpose. Buddy will be my bike for longer rides and relaxed exploration of new roads. Norman is mainly for the trails or multi-day trips, should I ever get to do one. And Attila is for the more local roads, my bike for a spirited blast when I am in the mood for a bit of mischief. I don't think I'll use him in place of Buddy at all. He is definitely my bike for getting stuff out of my system and possibly sharpening up my riding skills 👍 Take care Dave and love to the Exmouth crew. When I looked at the Guerilla in Rennes the rear shock looked like the white power unit on my 690 Duke, that is the road you want for running in your new bike superb bumps and all. In the summer when the sun has warmed up that tarmac and attilas run in and tyres are scrubbed in we will not hear from you for a couple of weeks you will be having a blast, love it mate, Chilli says hi to Ruby and we wish you guys a joyous Noel Bon Anee, that lot in earthquake racked Normandie 🇫🇷 PS we never felt a thing.

Hi Pete ! Glad to hear that you didn't notice the earthquake 😛 I've slept through a fair few myself. People ask me "Did you feel the quake yesterday ?" and I'm like "What ? There was an earthquake ?" 😂 Yep, I'm very happy with how the bike turned out. The only accessory that I would like to add now are the good old RE bar end mirrors again, because the OEM mirrors are a bit pants. However I set them, I am not getting much of a view and no view at all without moving my head. So bar ends are definitely in Attila's future but then he will be "done". I want to keep him clean and mean and not drape too may accessories all over him ! Good to hear that it's not just me who feels like the bike rides worse on CEAT tyres. I wasn't really sure but to me my bike rides smoother and plusher than the demo bike on the CEATs. I certainly don't regret the 300 EUR or whatever it was to buy and fit the tyres. Money well spent I reckon. Really looking forward to getting Attila run in for when the warmer weather arrives. I think Attila is going to be like a baby version of my Street Triple. Should be a riot ! Cheers you lot. Take care and have a happy Noel ! Garry & Ruby ❤🐕"I'm getting' treats for Christmas Chillers, saw me Dad hiding them in the cupboard ! Can't wait ! Hi Simon, yes, I will definitely be taking Attila up there as soon as it is clean and dry enough to do so ! All new bikes have to visit Calar Alto ! The new Himalayan was not better than Norman IMO and it also vibrated too much at normal road speeds. I quickly realised that it wasn't going to be for me. I was expecting the Guerrilla to be the same, so wasn't really interested in it but after the test ride and realising that it had no vibration issues at all, suddenly I found myself considering it. The rest is history. The 411 for the trails and the Guerrilla for being a hooligan on the roads is a much better combination IMO. I think I got it right again 😇, with the help of you and my other viewers of course ! Cheers Simon, Garry & Ruby

Hi Rob, I didn't like the TFT dash at all, it was often hard to read in the bright sunlight and the analogue dash has proper old school idiot lights, which are.a lot easier to see than icons on a screen. I imagine that the engine warning light will come on when the bike is running too hot or maybe TEMP will come up on the digital display. I'm sure that they will have built in something, given that this is their first LC motor. Hopefully I will never find out 🙂 Cheers Rob, enjoy your Hunter 👍 Garry & Ruby
